Sweet Mario boots. What about his “denim denim denim?”
I hope they do their factory seconds sale again. I want a pair of local moc toes.
I went 2 years prior to the pandemic starting I think it was.
Only ones I know I can pull off are these chelsea’s that go with everything:
It’s either that or my 574, low dunks or new Mets highs!

@Memphisakers This put a big smile on my face for sure!

Love Red Wing boots as a kid always remember my dad mentioned RW and how they’re a great boot. 2020 with lockdown a few months off work I remember searching for them on Instagram and came across a guys page wings_n_work where he’s rocking a pair of 875’s working as a carpenter they looked sick amazing patina.( that’s how I found love for IH too ) Had to get a pair the first pair I bought was 1907 beautiful boot first pair of heritage boots took some breaking in then I bought 875 didn’t look into the sizing and bought my correct size mistake as there both to big. I’ve worn my 1907’s to work for the last two years and the due the second resole , for now I’m wearing my 875 walking my dog and to and from work but not working in RW anymore sticking to safety boots for now. 2023 I must have 10 pairs of moc toe had to buy 1907 and 875 again in a size that fitted.
Here’s 875 that I’m wearing day to day still need to get an insole to make them fit . -
I’m a HUGE redwing fan… it’s a big part of Ironworker history and culture! In the upper half of the country you rarely find an ironworker wearing anything else at work. I’ve been wearing 877s at work exclusively for at least 10 years probably more like 15. One of the most comfortable work boots I’ve ever worn!
-
@Memphisakers I don’t know how I got away with wearing them on site in the UK for 2 years
They’re not classed as a work boot no steel toe cap or steel plate midsole. Most Comfortable boot is the 1907 I think soon as I get them Re soled I’ll try and wear them when the weather gets better and try not to get caught by Health and safety.. -
@Jcaz6996 I’m not sure why they let us get away with not having safety toe boots but they do… most iron workers absolutely refuse to wear them. They never bothered me honestly, but after wearing 877s I never went back to them.

@Jcaz6996 How do you like the copper R & T leather? I have a pair of 8” in the same leather and love them! Too nice to wear to work… that’s my stepping out pair

@IH-GARY
I didn’t watch the video… it’s hilarious! Thanks for putting that up -

My man just hand made a pair of boots for Mario -
@Memphisakers definitely my favourite boot 1907 love Copper Rough and Tough my first pair made the mistake of cleaning them and treating them with All Natural Leather Conditioner which darkened the leather
So with my new pair I keep them for best and definitely won’t treat the leather. -
@Jcaz6996 Yep the copper R&T is finicky for sure. But it looks kinda like a matte CXL. I love it!! They have a few other colorations that are really similar. The 8890 Charcoal and the 4548 Concrete are the same style of “pull up leather?” In a different color. I don’t wear any those when there is even a chance of rain… I cleaned the copper ones once and was super worried about how they would look when they dried. It turned out ok, but I have taken to mostly just using the brush on them after that. Or just wiping them down with a damp rag

Really love my Eat Dust x Redwing Pecos.
Unfortunately it is really exhausting to get the 555 pulled over them -
I’ve had these Mocs for a long time now. Recently, I’ve grown tired of store bought hiking boots from REI or the like. I’m sure there are some great ones out there, but I’ve had so many expensive, yet shit quality and short lived pairs of hiking boots. I’m over it.
Started hiking in my Mocs with a vibram 100 about 1.5 years ago on shorter, local hikes. This summer, I’ve taken them full bore backpacking. Took them to Italy to hike the Dolomites for 4 days. Just recently took them on a 6 day, 40 mile trek into the Bridger Wilderness, Wyoming.
They may just be the best hikers I’ve ever had. Crazy comfortable. The Vibram 100 is a beast of a sole. Layer of Mink oil before I hit the trail…I’m solid!!
