Red Wing Shoes

Its the lace for the right shoe that kept breaking, I guess it was a defect with that particular lace. I need to find something more resistant, though, like electric wire or kevlar or whatever, because I'm pulling real hard on them laces when I put the shoes on in the morning. Nothing brutal but quite tight.
Try these:
I had these on my combat boots for years, never broke the fuckers
The only thing I'd recommend is to take a pair of pliers and tighten up the endcaps every couple of months. Even if you lose the endcaps, the laces are pretty much indestructable

I've found they do tend to stretch a bit, when they've stopped making your feet bleed. The size 9s above felt tight when new but as they broke in have become to loose for a normal sock really, whereas the 8s are fine. Nither pair were tight width ways though.
IF they feel tight when you put your foot in without lacing them up then they're too narrow.Thanks for feedback. With a heavy heart these might have to go on the block…:(
Balls to it. I am taking the pain road with these.

Ohhh, it's the deep burn:

What insoles do you guys use for RW?

In the size 9s I've got a sports inner sole, in the 8s I don't need anything.

@J.:
Anybody here has a pair of engineer boots? I'm contemplating on purchasing them.
I have a pair of the 2268's with steel toe. They are a really solid boot. I would recommend going tts on these . I sized down 1 to us 9 & they are too tight for me. I am going to have to sell them & size up.
