Watches - another OCD problem
-
It's coincidental you should be drawn to the SKX011 in stainless.
I was looking at almost exactly that model, but with a rubber band and orange face as another strong contender.
I checked all the watch forums, youtube video comparisons, etc., and functionally, the citizen and seiko divers are so similar, it just comes down to design preference. The citizen is slightly smaller so that's a little better for my wrist.
Unless of course you want to mod the watch. There's a huge mod'ing community, and parts, for the seikos.
Maybe next Christmas I get the orange face / black band. The yellow face / black band version is also nice.

As someone with a watch with the crown at 8, I'd recommend the Seiko. Unless you're left handed, the 8 crown position is kind of awkward.

I've just found a piece about the new Blancpain Bathyscaphe, and since there are a few fans of the brand around here…

I'm a fan of the Bathyscaphe, and having seen one prefer it to the Fifty Fathoms. They look a lot nicer than in photos too.

It's a really common trend. I've come to hate it, too.
-
Just to be a dick they ought to put it inverted over between 9 and 10

My brothers gf just bought him this

With all due respect to your brother's girlfriend…
That's quite an expensive gift. I hope your brother is very appreciative.

That's subtle enough for Ludacris

Breitling Bentley is fucking serious. A bit ostentatious for me but, it is a beautiful piece
-
It also features a date window that Snowy and chris can get excited about
-
I think it's simply to be a bit different from the standard "date at 3" watch face. The cynic in me would point out that it still uses the standard date wheel out of the parts catalog, which makes it a cheap way to diverge from the norm.
Personally, I think the best placement for the date window is at either 6 or 12. It makes for a more balanced dial.
