Watches - another OCD problem
-
quick question: I have the opportunity to buy an Oris ProDiver Titan Chronograph at a great price.
It has everything I'm looking for: its Ti, easy to handle when I have gloves or greasy hands, a chrono and a bezel. The only 'downside' is that its quite big because its 1000m water resistant and therefore an obvious dive watch. Since I don't dive, I worry people might think its a bit overkill to have a big watch like this on when not in the water. What do you guys think? Should I go for it or keep looking for something else? -
I'm used to wearing GShock and Big Pilots so that shouldn't be an issue.

your right, I love it and shouldn't care what others think

This is the right answer.
For the record, I wear a stupidly large watch every day and no one has ever commented on it, so you'll probably also be fine in that regard.

The weight is probably not as big a factor anyway since it's Ti. I have a Breitling Emergency in Ti which is absolutely massive but wears very comfortably.
As you say @scarfmace , wear what you love. I'd be surprised if more than 5% of people who own dive watches even get them wet on the regular.

I thought I would try a Nato on my GMT, really pleased with the look and comfort.

Very nice.
I picked up a similar Nato from Crown and buckle. Really like the combo of the black/green/red. An awesome combo with the GMT I must say!

@ametorist – Now THAT is a wicked timepiece! Adore vintage Omega, especially vintage military Omega.

I believe that the Blancpain Barakuda reissue sold out pretty quickly too. I'm not sure if it was hours, days, weeks, or even months. I'm not up on the brand.
Given I saw one both a Barakuda and a No Radiation on Chrono24 at nearly twice retail, I'd guess that they're a hot ticket. I'd be tempted to approach your local dealer now, and see if you can make an expression of interest in advance of the model being announced.

Bought this pilot’s watch Biatec, it’s made in Slovakia with Eterna 60hrs Swiss movement.

H. Moser just released a perpetual calendar version of their Streamliner. Interesting use of a tiny center hand to indicate the month, using the 12 hour markers as month markers.

Personally I like the green-faced centre second better. In fact, it's my favorite watch currently in production right now.
