Watches - another OCD problem
-
I'm a fan of the SeaQ, particularly the panoramic date version. I took a look at them when they first came out and I remember comparing one to a Fifty Fathoms, and the Glashütte Original was better finished.
That said, the Blancpain Bathyscaphe in titanium is a lovely thing, though @Giles is allergic to the position of the date window. On the bracelet it's still 60% of the price of the Planet Ocean. It's also a lot slimmer than the SeaQ and rather light. The movement isn't as pretty, though.
Whilst I was admiring it, the dealer insisted I look at the very green and very rare chronograph they had in.
I think at the end of the day you can spend a premium on the brand, finishing, design, or technology. Some people get excited about a bit of hand-anglage on the movement. Others turn their noses up at anything that isn't a Rolex or Patek. I like innovations in horology. You pays your money and all that.

I love seeing the wide variety of watches here, really awesome folks.
Just checking back in with the 321 Speedmaster.

@Graeme it wouldn’t take much if tequila is involved …

@Brandrea Wanna go for drinks??
You’ve already got me in enough trouble here through all your enabling.

@goosehd dude! Super nice. Noticed a new guy at work had one of those, and we ended up chatting for an hour about the finer things in life. Then somehow the convo turned into salmonella and the resulting “accidents”.

@goosehd lovely 8 day! Gotta love a manual wind watch … nothing better for that bonding experience.

I sort of want to get one, just to see how good/bad it is...
