WAYWT - Shoes/Boots Edition!

I appreciate it is very subjective, but it is often the height of a heal stack that puts me off a boot. It's my only issue with my Viberg, the heal is higher than I'd like. Often the last prevents a custom lower build either. Those Wesco look top though.

It is subjective of course but if this isn’t all about personal taste then what is? On the other hand, there are some objective elements to the effect design can have on appearance.
I love some lowered heel profiles. RW peco’s for example have a great profile and Wesco’s lowered Jobmaster/Boss last can look beautiful. But objectively I know that on me the result is that my already short inseam appears Gimli-esque [emoji1]

Lowered Jobmaster you say? Ooh. That boot in a rough out would be very much to my tastes.

Not pretty, and look an awful lot like Merrels, but I love the fit and (so far) the performance of Oboz out of Boseman, MT. They plant a tree for every pair sold (two last and this month) and have a great insole and structure for narrow feet with high arches like mine. These are the Sawtooth model, which I will typically reserve for fairly technical uses, because I really love my Viberg/IH hikers. These win on weight and long-term comfort (e.g. through hiking, backpacking, bouldering, etc). I may use them snowshoeing in a few weeks with gaiters, but I'll be bringing boots I know are fit for that purpose just in case these aren't as waterproof as I hope.
If you need good hiking shoes/boots and have a narrow foot and arches, look em up!

Not my usual style, but I’ve loved my other Trickers. Couldn’t pass up a steal on eBay.

@den1mhead those boots are rapidly becoming one of my favourite pairs of lace-ups. The only negative for me personally is a practical one, and that is the the outsole. I need a decent lug on my boots if they are to be useful year round.

Yes Reuben they are beasts. I have more people comment on these particular boots than any of my others. Great proportions, solid, comfortable and heavy [emoji106]
