Memorable concerts

Agreeing with Riff about Duff McKagan, he's a very nice guy. When I first started working at the hospital I
worked with a girl who was dating him, they met in AA. He used to come pick her up after work and would
sit in our office until she off for the day. This was back in 1992, I had a great time chatting with him about
music. -
I think Ax'l kind of fucked his band mates over pretty seriously.
-
There is absolutely no doubting that, but up until and just after the release of Appetite he was immense…..and then he went crazy. What they do these days (and I have been to witness it) is basically a Guns n Roses club act/ tribute, it's completely fucking horrible for a fan and hilarious for a hater.
-
^ Agreed, Axl was cool back when they were playing the clubs then as soon as they hit it big he did go crazy.
Some people just can't handle the fame, he's a prime example. -
might not be for everyone, but if i still can get a ticket i might be having a memorable concert/show on friday and saturday…Wu-Tang Clan, Modd Deep, Common and etc. are coming to Biel, Switzerland
might be the first and last chance i can see those guys life...pretty stoked since those were the guys i listened to back in the days! -
Wu tang is great live.
Duff Mckagan is so down to earth and real. I think it's because of his background in punk and hardcore. The fartz, The living , fastbacks….. Etc. I met him over the summer at a festival. He actually walked up to us and said "hey you guys are in converge right?" Holy shit!

Riff, nothing but love for Duff. He always seemed the most genuine of them, although Slash did sign me a napkin with the words…
" To Gav, Drink till you die, Slash"
Nice of him
-
Hopefully it's really wu tang. They have a habit of one or two real dudes ahowing up and and an entourage, not meth and Rza and everyone. If its with common and shit its probably a good chance.
Waited 6 hours for Wu-Tang at SxSW a few years back. No chance I was going to miss it.
Ended up being a massive disappointment, even with Ghost Face and Raekwon. The sound was terrible (though it was good to great for the other bands, including Fishbone) and they had zero energy. At least half the crowd bailed before the show ended.

one of my real good friends is actually Slash's guitar tech and he's 100% an awesome dude too. I was just seriously taken aback by somebody like Duff knowing who my band was and actually being so outgoing about it.

Every concert I've been too is memorable in some way (good or bad). Since I'm a jobless hobo I had the time to take photos of all the ticket stubs I could find. There are other concerts, but I'll be damned if I can remember them right now. Picture overload incoming (will probably add stories later on).
I fucking love music.

Wu tang clan ain't nuttin ta fuck with
I saw Wu Tang in '93 before 36 Chambers was released. They were so good.
"Obstacles are stepping-stones That guide us to our goals"

Excellent taste Jestre

Ah Cornelius! Great live show Jester. Saw 'em back in the day.
And your Kings of Leon ticket stub reminded me of when they were a damn fine band. Couldn't believe my ears when they went stadium rock/pop!!
-
Awesome Jestre! I need to post mine too if I can remember where they are!
And yes, Duff is a great guy…Nothing but love for him. Steve Harris too.
