Thank you all very, very much for lovely words about Mum, she will of course live on in our heads and our hearts.
The news on my brother has become slightly more positive over the last 18 hours or so. He's definitely not out of the woods yet, but they are managing him to take him off the CPAP mask occasionally and giving him oxygen through a high-flow nasal feed, back on the mask as soon as his blood oxygen level drops as he tires. He's eaten a small amount for the first time in about 2 weeks. Naturally, my sisters and I are obsessing about every tiny detail, and it was really great to get some good news.
Much love to all x

Dear, dear Paula sending much love to you at such a dark and difficult time, however there seems to be a light shining and hope appearing with the more positive news on your brother. I hope he goes from strength to strength and that you remain as strong as you can through this. With love from us both. Barcs and Jules xxxx

Thanks again all for your heartwarming messages. My brother Mark has improved slightly over past 48 hours, which is great news. My sisters and I are sharing the "tasks" and one of mine is to call the hospital for updates - obviously none of us can visit - and they have been so helpful and kind (and as reassuring as they can be).
I feel positive, very positive, and you have helped - thank you.
