Thank you for that clarification Sir G!

I've read through people's sizing observations in the 08 thread, but owing to different body types/shapes/sizes/etc. it doesn't seem like any fast conclusions were reached, as is with any clothing.
I have this in my stack, in size XL. I'm almost certainly an L in most every IH top, perhaps excluding the 08. The shoulders for the L IHSH-08 are 17.3" which is right at my smaller limit (approx. 18.5 is dead on) and so I'm wondering if the slimness due to high armholes. Is this accurate? If so, I'd rather order the L first and exchange if needed. It's getting to crunch time and I want to be as sure as possible to avoid costly trans-oceanic frieght costs, both for myself and IHUK! Yes, this is a request for hand holding…

Former swimmer here, so my chest/shoulder comparison is slightly uncommon. Any reason the chest measurement is something to lookout for? Does the construction tend to pull the fabric towards the sides, making it hard to button up? Certainly wanna leave the corsets to the IH women!
I would like to layer (hoodie) some. The layering is probably my biggest concern with ordering an L. It seems like some folks accomplish this and went TTS.

Go with an XL. If that doesn't fit, feel free to swim across the ocean to come kick my arse.
E: I'm a size Small in the IHSH-22 and therefore in most IH shirt, but have contemplated buying a size L in the 08… The M fits perfectly, albeit very tight... Tighter than other sized S shirts...

Man you guys are confusing the hell out of me with the IH08 sizing haha I don't know whether to go with an L or XL… arghh

Dude, I have a swimmers shoulders/chest too and I sized up on the IHSH-08, and glad I did. I would reco the XL for you too. The shirt is brutal, you will be glad of a little wriggle room (Seul's just a masochist).
You can kick my arse too if I'm wrong - its all Europe right…

I would stay stick to you normal IH size. I am a medium in all IH shirts and a medium in this one also. It fits most similar to the 07, just a bit slimmer in the chest and bit stiffer. Note that the 22 is larger than most other shirts.
I don't believe this shirt is designed for layering. It's got a slim cut for a reason. And if you really do want to layer you could wear it unbuttoned. I would recommend the IHW-01 if you want to layer (although the cuffs on that are a bit small to stuff a sweatshirt under it).

And for what it is worth from me, my IHSH-08 is a XL and I am going with an XL in this as well. XL is my TTS for IH and that is how I will continue to size. I have somewhat of a layering fetish as you all may already be aware of and this item does not infringe upon this. It all depends on what you are trying to put under it. I can wear any of my AA hoodies, vintage hoodies, and both of my IH hoodies underneath it. Just my two pennies. Do with it what you will…

I have some nice thin Mr Olive hoodies i'm planning on layering with some of the slimmer fitting stuff… i think i'll stick to TTS for this one and just send Lando the hospital bill should i need to be rushed to the emergency room from any accidents or injuries stemming from wearing this TTS

You poor fucker, TWE. Why dont you order both and send one back?
HAHA, This would be the prefered option, expenditures permitting. Unfortunately they don't, hence poor fuckery. If an exchange is needed, the world'll keep spinning. It's the shoulder measurement on the L I want to avoid, so XL it stays. Seriously folks, thanks! This forum is a superb, friendly resource precisely because of the response to questions in this thread and others. Much appreciated, even
Half the reason the layering idea appeals is that I cannot bring myself to imagine what it'd be like wearing this thing in Spring/Summer in the Valley. Being that I plan to wear it through the longish Winter as a visible (showoff :)), outerwear piece, layering underneath will certainly be called for.
Additionally: I spend the winter inside many fine establishments w/o proper insulation/heating. Needless to say, obsructing my alcohol intake would make for an inadequate SuperBlack holiday season.
