I'd second that the drawstring would look better with more length. It's really more of an aesthetic than a functional detail, yes, which is why that matters.
Does anyone simply pull the drawstring out entirely? That would look better than a short drawstring IMO.
I always pull the drawstrings out of my hoodies, but I've never paid more that like $50 for one. I might be more cautious if I'd spent more money on one, although I'm not sure why that would matter.

Somehow the fact they're so short makes it look like they're struggling be drawstrings or something…
I think the ones on the zip hoodies are the perfect length. Just an aesthetic preference for me...

Have you thought about making the drawstrings longer? They look somewhat short in the pic. But it looks great!
They will be longer and black…

Yessir, I think extra length with contrasting white (or off-white) would be the winner

And that is the decision. If you prefer something else either don't buy or swap out. 100 people 101 opinions….

I have a lead on some made from organic, long staple, ethically hand harvested Zimbabwe cotton. The bolls are then combed by monks in a monastery in Bhutan and spun into threads on authentic 18th century wooden spinning wheels. That thread is then carried by musk oxen along ancient silk trading routes to master weavers in Constantinople (they refuse to accept the newfangled name, as they don't follow fads). There it is woven into custom length drawstrings for only the most discerning of owners. I'll hook you up with some, provided you pass the interview for prospective clientele.
Or you could just use an old shoelace. Your call.
