The Strike Gold

Thanks man! The strange thing is while every aspect shrinks a little, it seems like the length shrinks significantly more. No clue why.

Raged of late in the 3105s to the extent that a premature second wash (after an initial soak) was needed. I think it actually helped. The worn areas are so soft too. Love this denim, and can't wait for the heavier UHR 634S in my future.

^ Those jeans look amazing!!!

What do you guys think of these 1109s? I'm a bit on the fence because the waist feels a bit loose (these pics are post soak). I knew going in that these tend to have room in the top block if you go tts. I got a 32 (waist measured 33 pre-soak). I just couldn't imagine sizing down.
Anyways, the denim is amazing. Hopefully once the top block settled in with some creases I'll be more satisfied. Should I have sized down one?

I like them, but if you were going to size down you might look at the 05 cut, since the 09 is already so tiny with the taper. 05 is basically the same cut sans the taper towards the cuff
-
I was going for taper, pretty much looking for a tight fit. I think they actually look pretty awesome. I'm pretty sure sizing down would have made the rise unbearable.

never underestimate the power of a future machine wash and the power of a belt to keep the waist where you want it to be

Yep. I hot soaked for an hour but I'm pretty certain a hot wash will finish off the shrinkage. Gonna wait until I've got about 6 weeks or so of wear and then hot wash time!

Perfect!

Agreed. Love the fit. If it were me I'd fold the cuff ribbing on the sleeves back halfway on themselves, I think it'd look even better. $0.02
-
I would recommend against doing that….imo it'll work to loosen the cuff and it won't necessarily snap back. Also, there's probably more shrink everywhere (i.e. Sleeves) so it'll look better later

That's never been my experience with a sweat, particularly with thin ribbing like that. Indeed I've even rolled a thick IH Henley over the cuffs of my IH sweat, which is far more drastic, with zero lasting effect on the cuffs.
