Impeccable fades James! @Jcaz6996
The thing with shirts is that you just rotate more so reaching the magic point of wear days just seems like a much longer time.
I wore the 62 BLK renovating the garden house for a week straight and it faded like magic. Also here’s my SBGs at 107 wear days for good measure

I'm a teacher also and being able to put 10+ hours a day into a single garment helps significantly. At least the sleeves showed similar fading with my Blaumann Type 2 in the same timeframe as Jcaz6996 was wearing his shirt. However the body of the garment won't fade as much if you don't work physically half of the day. In the evenings I'm making a small potato patch in a part of my garden. That also helps a little with the fades.
Unfortunately I'm sick at the moment, so there is not much fading or teaching this week. Let's see what a couch can do to my denim :).

@Yoprst sorry for the late reply No secrets lol , as Giles said I’m a Carpenter I work on a construction site erecting Timber frames houses . Physical job working long hours definitely helps with the evolution process . As Steve mentioned put enough time into wearing a particular piece and the fades will come just enjoy the journey
Hi Jcaz6996,
Thanx for your reply and no apologies required for it not being instant
The reason I've asked that question was that I was curious if you use some special technique to get that mega turbo fade for the time frame announced. As they say, may be I was born at night but surely not the last night and I have an idea how long and what does it take to fade a certain piece of denim. I myself work at the shipyard and my work demands physical efforts and it requires the whole lot of body motions and often takes me in a pretty tight spaces therefore increasing the contact of my denim with the world outside it. I wear my denim at worksite 12 hours a day 5 days a week. You can see my IHSH-292-IND evo for about the same time period here

So when I saw you pics of 72 wears shirt I thought this guy must had been through the training course in the US Navy Seals Boot Camp in his shirt or he knows some fading secrets I should ask him about -
@RobeOfTheMagi hope ya feel better soon man! I will admit that when i do get sick during the school year, I'm bummed but at the same time, I don't mind putting in for a sub some days

Thank you very much, mate!
Lucky me ... I've got a great number of A Level Exams (Abitur in Germany) on my desk that will keep me busy for 120 hours or so of desk work. Looking forward to the elbow fades ...

@Yoprst No boot camp .
No Secrets .. just up @4.45am and don’t get in the house till 7.30pm 5 days a week.Sounds like you’re in the right job I don’t come into contact with any materials I wouldn’t say just excessive movements.. we don’t even stop for break eat while we work.
Here’s a few other examples:
IHSH-292-IND CPO
93 days of wear
IHSH-293-OD
131 days of wear
IH526L
344 days of wear
I’ll have to take some pictures of my IH526L OD
Just over 100 days in that .. -
@Jcaz6996 carpenter fades for the win
-
@Jcaz6996 do you wear your shirts under a denim jacket when working? If so I bet the outer face of the shirt material abrading against the inside of the jacket really speeds things up…
I personally find it hard doubling up the denim on my top half, so kudos if you manage to do such a physical job wearing 2 layers of heavy demim

777s-21 coming along nicely. Sadly a bit to big in the waist now but for working in the garden etc these are fantastic -
Wanted to share some thoughts about my 777s-21od inspires by @T4920 and his post about his overdyed denim.
When I compare these to my 526lod they fade a lot slower and with a lot less contrast. Offcourse it's jacket vs jeans but I wear the 777 mostly for work all day, doing 10-15000 steps everyday and sweating, kneeling, carrying stuff etc. But still feels behind the lefty.
My 526 I wear mostly for walks or to get to work, never for heavier stuff since I can't wear it over the shirts my employer gives us.
The lefty is a lot more rigid what explains the higher contrast while the 777 feels as soft as sweatpants almost from the beginning so there is not that much tension to create sharp fades.
I have worn the 21od now for 55 days without wash or soak and plan to at least get to 100 wears before I start introducing them to some water.
I hope that the little spots and marks where you can already see some indigo will evolve a lot more and are very comitted to this pair of denim.
For these who care about sentimental stuff, I bought this pair in january because my uncle died of cancer at the age of 55 on christmas day and I had not one pair of black pants or denim to wear to the funeral. So I ordered them on short notice and had something to feel good about after days of being a little lost.

@FlavourFade haven't had my hands on 21oz OD in person, but yours look so buttery soft!
Overdyed stuff never really spoke to me when I looked at product photos, but having experienced it in person, I'm a fan for life.
Next pair of OD will be 21oz for sure, but not for a while, need to try XHSib first!

XHSib is crazy cool and totally different! You will love both.
