looks great mate!

I agree. Beautiful pair of jeans. Love the patch.

Giles, any chance on the next production run maybe do a 38.5" inseam so i end up with a 36.5" after soak…i've never had unsanforized raws that fit in length.... been looking more and more into the idea of having a lighter weight denim for summer (currently working on IH-666xhs and in anticipation of MBB, since going ironheart nothing else fits as good) and thought it couldn't hurt to ask....no worries either way tho thanks

No can do I am afraid. Doing a one-off is problematical and doing the whole run that long is not sensible…

Right on just thought I'd check

hey, i'm totally new here. I got a pair of the XHS 666 last week. I've worn them several times. I've been reading several pages of this forum and I need to be pointed to some online resources to understand more about the care of them - I dont understand these soak instructions. The guy at self edge gave me a magnet that recommended machine washing them every 45-60 wears, but it looks like there's more to it than that? Also, I need to make sure they don't shrink too much. The self edge website made it seem liek this particular model neither shrinks nor stretches, but it looks like there might be different experiences with this? I'm a size 38 and the 39" waist that this has is perfect for me. I need to make sure I maintain it. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry I sound like such a noob.

The XHS (25oz denim) is sanforized, so a soak is not required. If you want to soak them anyway to get some possible starchyness out or for whatever reason put some water in the tub and chuck the jeans in for 20-30 minutes. Hang those sumbitches up to dry. If you're too lazy for the tub flip them inside out and throw them in the washing machine, you don't have to use detergent if you just want to get them wet (again, hang dry is best if you're worried about shrinkage). You can expect very slight shrinkage, and you'll be able to stretch them back out to original size plus probably a little bit more. Don't worry about sounding like a noob. At the end of the day shits just clothing, and I'll bet you've been wearing pants your whole life.
This thread is actually for the 18oz version… I'm wondering if maybe some of your confusion is coming from that? The 18oz is unsanforized and will shrink approx 1 inch in the waist and 2 in the inseam.Your 666XHS are 25oz you can read more in this thread http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1819.0
Also… disregard any instructions on how/when you should wash YOUR pants. If you think they're too dirty toss them in the wash. If you don't give half a squirt of piss that they're dirty, rock on. Either way.
Here is a thread about clothing care http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=34.0
read on if you dare! -
Komputadora, congrats on such a balls out purchase. Wear them how you wear them and don't ever worry about sounding noob, we're all noobs. I'm waiting to get my first 25ozers…for the heavyweight denim championships. I'm going to treat them wrong and just see what happens. As a friend once said, enjoy the addiction.

In my experience, if you put the XHS in the wash machine, even on cold, they will shrink. Mine did. However, you want to get them in water as it prevents early holes. If you're really concerned about the waist, put a 39" piece of wood in the waist and throw them in a cold tub. Or wear them in the tub. Either way, do it sooner than later.
