IH-666Sod - Devil's Fit Overdyed - Super Slim Tapered
-
All the measurements for the 666 are on the ironheart.co.uk website and for the 301 on the Self Edge website. But the 666 are more fitted in the top block and not so tight from the thigh down.

That's just what happens with cotton stitching. We use the strongest we can get, but just like vintage jeans that are stitched with 100% cotton they blow. If you want your stitching to last longer, look for polycotton constructional stitching - not traditional, but it will last longer…...

50 wears in and I'm really digging the fade so far! It's hot as all HELL in Atlanta right now but that's not stopping me from kicking around in these jeans.
Cheers.

I admire the dedication.
…and that shirt is pretty rad. -
Very cool.

I wear a size 30 in these jeans.
Just for reference, I'm usually a 29. I wear the Beatle Buster Indigo's in a size 29 and it's a perfect fit, but I definitely had to size up one for the overdye's.

Me too, Mobsmasseoud!
I'm TTS 29 and I had to size up to 30, and still 666sod are the tightest jeans of mine. Tighter then Busters sbg and raw, that are 28. Devil fit, no doubts. They are the best slim fit tapered, and the Beatle Busters are the best slim straight.
And about the temperature, here in Italy we have a living hell, with 33 and more degrees.
But 666sod are 18oz: good for summertime, from the IH point of view… -

But 666sod are 18oz: good for summertime, from the IH point of view…You're right, 18oz is significantly lighter than 21oz, especially in the summer heat. Although, Italy cannot nearly be as wretchedly hot and muggy as it is here in the deep south. So far our temperatures have gone up to around 40C…and it's barely June!
Heat or no Heat, I feel like I have no other option than to wear my Iron Heart's...I refuse to wear shorts (haven't since I was 5 years old), I'm a student and therefore I don't have to wear slacks (so I won't), and anything lighter just doesn't feel right anymore. So...Iron Heart it is.

Hey, to those of you that have already broken in your 666 ODs, how much did the waist stretch?
I have a pair right now where there's room in the waist. I was trying on a lower size at Self Edge and couldn't get the top button over, but i think that was due to the fact that 1) it was pretty hot in there, 2) I needed to take a leak bad, 3) the denim is heavier than what I'm used to.
I'm pretty sure that if I tried hard, i can fit into a lower size, and if they can stretch a decent amount, I will go and exchange for a lower size so if you guys can tell me how much the waist has stretched, that'd be great -
they stretch out quite abit and quite easilt to be honest… if the lower size fits fine everywhere else and the thigh is comfortable then its worth it to change..
i got myself a size 31 and 32, while the 31 fits very good at the waist after stretch, the thigh and hip fit abit too tight since i got chunky thighs.. so i sold the 31, wear the 32 and have to live with a bit loose waist but proper everywhere else...
hope that helps

^I'll second this. It's really a matter of how the thigh feels on these. The waist can stretch out a lot; the thigh less so. I just measured my tagged 34s, they are 17.75 on the aligned waist and 12.25 on the thigh. But also consider, they will shrink back to original measurements when soaked, according to Finn.

Deliberately stayed off this thread so as not to be thrown off course with my current project but thinking which of the 3 pairs in my denim bank am I going to withdraw next. Looks like its got to be my 666s . Really seen what a superb cut this devil's fit is. Hope i'm not wishing i'd got the ods now seeing such great examples of them here but looking at Giles progress think the 18oz reg will more than satisfy.
