What's your favorite Beer?
-
I have a selection of local brews lined up for this evening. Some I've tried, some I haven't.
They don't get much more local than number 1…
-
Got anything stronger lined up lad?..
Funny you ask, Eli :D. On to number 2, which is a bit of a fave at the moment. 7.4% of pure goodness…

Gimme a darkie @10% at least and we'll talk
The last time I hit that sort of stuff was at chez Padmore after the HWDC/MBB launch party. It didn't end well…
I was actually going to tap you up for bar recommendations in Bruges/Oudenaarde, as I'm riding the amateur Tour of Flanders in April and will be in one or both of those places the following day to watch the pros. Any tips for good places to drink top quality beer and watch the race?

No idea, but Oudenaarde is Oud Bruin paradise… Rodenbach and Liefmans Goudenband amongst others are produced there... Google some, you'll find some good intel...
Nice one, will do.
In the meantime, I'm afraid things are sliding back down the ABV scale. It's good though…

Session beer…

Went to brewery for lunch yesterday and had one of their golden ales. I'm a really big fan of abbey ales, dubbels, tripels, etc. This one has more of a sour feel to it, but still really good with their market pizza for the day (brussel sprouts, bacon, mozzerella). I didn't take a picture….
Jolly Pumpkin Oro de Calabaza.

Yeah, its 2 blocks from my place. It's good stuff.

Tried out a damn tasty beer last night at dinner.

ah, la fin du monde. delicious, easy to find, and got me into the high-volume belgian ale scene. It's a really good, easy drinking beer.

Shared one with my dad. Couldn't help but pour in some residue (it started halfway through, wasn't gonna sink alf a bottle of Westy 12)… This didn't help with the taste (slightly more bitter)... Too warm as well... My dad has a lot to learn!.. But yeah: all in all a pretty decent beer ::)
