Strongly sympathise, and kudos to you for this very apt description of the downsides of gentrification. We have similar (and severe!) issues in thus context here in parts of Berlin, one of my best friends is moving, at a time when finding housing is all but easy, let alone cheap, because her part of Kreuzberg, once a traditional working class borough, just became too touristy and soulless.
Have you talked to the people of the coffee shop? Communicating ones concerns seems very important IMO.

Thanks for the kind words. I did express my disappointment to the coffee shop. I expressed my distaste for the Whole Foods by buying a bunch of shit from them;)

Been hearing quite a few complaints about USPS; I wonder if the quality of service has declined recently since the US post office was forced to pay for retirement 70 years in advance (as part of the plan for destruction and privatization) or if it was always this way…

Not sure why but they are definitely slipping quality wise. So sick of them not even bothering to put a package between my doors. So feckin  lazy.
