^mine's in 12 hours time. Just spent 1 hours writing notes for 12 months worth of work. Annoyingly I can write notes (and did) that on paper should get me a substantial pay rise, yet, I imagine based on reality that has nothing to do with my KPI's I'm going to get boned. Will certainly be taking it to the mat, not sure how far I'll go once on the mat. If my KPI's don't align with what they were after, they should have written better bloody KPI's!. Woo go me, good rant

Angered with a certain popular boot maker who seems to be biting off more than they can chew right now. Grrr… Oh well, last time I will attempt to have boots made by them 3 for 3 with bad experiences.

Am still in the middle of getting boned, and it is a huge boning, went to the mat a little too long, and blew a 1 hour meeting into what looks like it'll be 2.5 hours. On the upside I've got around 2 hours a day of my life back due to giving less of a shit in there. If working 2.5 hours of free OT every day doesn't even get me inflation as a pay rise, there's clearly no point in my doing it. Was enlightening in that regard, that's for sure. No Fucks Given is my new motto in the office.

Bad news man, Pam is going through something similar at the moment where she is working a consistent 8 and a half hours extra per week for no pay but when she needed an hour out to got to a medical appointment her boss made her use a half day of annual leave. I told her to look on it as getting her 8 and half hours a week back too. Fuck me, fuck you is the motto.

There is no such thing as "vegan leather".
It's idiotic and makes me want to strangle the marketing weasel that thought it up.
-
Isn't most leather vegan? Cattle and horses are certainly vegans.

Does it taste as disgusting as it sounds?

Fuck cancer.
My grandmother has not been doing well for the past few years. She has been fighting a battle with emphysema that has really taken a toll and her 24/7/365 battle to breathe has caused a significant decrease in weight (from 170ish down to skin and bones at under 100 lbs) . Towards the end of my spring semester some more problems reared their head and we took her to our local hospital were she was admitted and treated for almost 2 months. From the beginning of her hospitalization I began reading up about her symptoms; at the same time the doctors were having trouble locating the cause of these newly developed symptoms. My reading had led me to asking the doctors to run more tests on her liver and pancreas; however, the doctor was reluctant to do the tests and stated repeatedly that he did not feel this was the problem. He felt certain it was viral and due to her constant struggle for oxygen her body was simply having a hard time recovering. Last week, I took my son out to the residential care facility we just got her moved into about a month ago. At that time we noticed she seemed to look a bit "jaundiced" and mentioned this to her caregivers and doctor. Again, they seemed not only in disagreement but irritated with my concerns. Monday, we received a call that she was in extreme pain in her side all night, in able to sleep, and had "began to appear QUITE JAUNDICED" (hmm… No shit, you don't say???) at that time they decided to have her taken to the hospitals lab where they ran a series of tests...
Yesterday afternoon while out running errands I stopped by my mother's pharmacy and received the news....
It's pancreatic cancer and it's bad. Today more tests will be run to determine just how exactly how far it's spread for no other reason than just knowing how far along. Hospice has been called in as well..All that said, I know pancreatic cancer is one of the worst there is with the highest mortality rate. I know there's very little that can be done; however, I can't keep from seething with anger at the doctors for disregarding my requests to check into this 4 months ago. Rant off I guess....

Really sorry to hear about that TMT, I hope for the sake of your grandmother that the news of it's spreading is not too bad.
-
Sorry man. How can they miss a symptom like jaundice? Malpractice alert.
