Very true. High here today is 86 degrees fahrenheit (30 C) and I haven't worn any UHFs in awhile.

Yep, nothing but t-shirts for the next 6-7 months. Hey, at least the bluebonnets are pretty…

I've been doing work for an agency whose client is allegedly a fintech startup, however they don't have anyone with a technology background on staff, and are subcontracting that part of their operations.
Said client isn't happy with progress, which is largely down to them not giving me a specification to work to. I reckon the project's got another couple of months work (spread across two developers), but they've spoken to a different agency whose initial estimate is that it can be done in three weeks. The net result is that we might be dropped, payment withheld, and so on.
The thing is that three weeks isn't feasible. Development teams don't scale linearly (if you add more people you need more management, hence the output per person falls), and it'll take that long to get the app tested by Apple for inclusion in their store. So the other agency's sales pitch is being used as an excuse to screw over the people I've been working for.

@TrickHell:
I sort of miss America and to a lesser extent LA, but I don't miss the weather.
You don't miss the sunny weather? As someone who hails from the UK this baffles me…
I can understand not missing LA as I didn't think much of it when I have visited, but the Southern California weather I gotta say I liked.

Just opened my email from you guys and Sam's looking much more relaxed. Waaay better, buddy.

I once had a strange moment on a bus in LA. It was November and I was wearing shorts and a tee, sweating my ass off, a dude gets on the bus wearing a wool trench coat, a wooly hat and a scarf. We both looked at each other like the other one was nuts…

The downside to cleaning and organizing my garage/workshop is that now my wife can easily find and "borrow" tools.

Can Iron Heart stop turning out nice shirts. I don't need any more, but am currently tempted by the IHSH-129, IHSH-139, IHSH-142, and IHSH-145. The IHSH-141 looks nice too.
Then there's a bunch of PBJ stuff that @Danny RnH is stocking.
Look, I've just become unemployed. (And given the way the job was going, that's a relief.) I can't afford all this right now!

Good luck mate!

When speaking about clothes or a clothing item and someone says, "I wish I did X so I could justify getting Y."
I've noticed this come up most often with respect to leather jackets and motorcycle jackets in particular. Cannot say how many times I've heard, " I wish I rode a motorcycle so I could justify buying a leather jacket".
Makes me wonder if the same person wishes they were a rower so they could wear henleys, a train engineer so they could wear engineer boots, a miner so they could wear Iron Rangers, a cowboy so they can wear western shirts, etc. etc.
I suppose this falls in line with what a user said awhile back about hypocrisy…. I believe it may have been Mega?

I'm a 100% with you. We once had a biker customer bitch about a non motorbike rider wearing a leather jacket ("how dare a lowly non-rider wear a leather jacket?") . The biker in question was wearing Chippewa Roofers, so I politely asked him why he wasn't actually roofing the feckin house…..

^ that is funny. And by funny I mean I hate that kind of elitist bullshit so much it makes my teeth itch. By that logic, nobody should wear denim unless they are working in it. Preferably in the American west around 130 years ago. Bellendery.
