TSA precheck avoids the UHR jeans problem.
-
Can anyone explain why UHR causes problems? Is it the thickness?
-
Not sure of the machine they use typically, but prior to TSA precheck, and I wore UHR, After I had the brush up and down, the agent would comment that the jeans were starched, as if I used a spray can of starch to stiffen them up.
-
I probably should have explained it better. When you go through the machine that they want you to hold your hands up, they should be able to see through you and all of your personal wear to be basically see you nude. the UHR's don't afford them that vue.
-
Yeah well I’m gonna wear mine whenever I travel. See me nude? They’ll have to

That sinking gut feeling when you ship something and get to your car and realize the over $700 US of gear shipped… only has $50 insurance.
I just threw up a little.

. Woman sitting across from me on the train, with headphones on would randomly start singing along to whatever the fuck she was listening to. I wanted to ask her if she wouldn’t mind singing a little bit louder,so the rest of the people on the train could hear her. Didn’t have the balls, just had to laugh.

The past 4-5 times I've traveled I got "lucky" and landed in one of the lines where they don't make you take your shoes off. Each of those times I was wearing Wescos. Each time they direct me to the "shoes on" line I tell them my shoes are going to set off the alarm. Each time they tell me it should be fine and shoes are never the cause and to walk through. Each time the alarm goes off. Go back. Take my boots off. Go through again. No alarm.
Next time I'll wear my XHS just to really confuse them.

Calls for a brisk drubbing. And loss of cellphone privileges. Wesco style.

Same happens to me with the boots I normally wear while traveling. Makes being in the TSA Pre-Check line a bit less useful.

Yes…and what is it with people holding their phone out in front of them, putting speaker phone on, and having a shouting conversation in public. We were on a rail replacement train this weekend (Oh joy) and I guy a few seats up was shouting, cursing, and being very obnoxious, there were really young kids and older folks on there too. How do you become THAT unself aware?? Wanker.

Good news. Verified shipment arrived. Today (next day) vs estimated Saturday.
Much grateful so relieved.

Follow up on my rant a few days ago.
