IH-461 - Non Selvedge 21oz Indigo Boot Cut Jean
-
As a designer/patterner, one has much more scope to make a flattering cut with non selvedge. With selvedge, you have to have a straight side seam. With non selvedge you don't. So on the 634 and 461, the side seam is curved to be more flattering. The non selvedge 21oz denim is woven on a projectile loom at extremely high tension (much higher than a shuttle loom can weave at) and is treated with resin before we cut and sew, this makes them, more hard wearing, more wind proof, more waterproof and prevents flapping at the cuff when riding.

I bought a pair of these from selfedge here in the states. I am going to get them hemmed, but before I do I just wanted to ask about shrinkage after I wash them the first time. How much should I expect? I wear a lot of boots, and I am typically a 30" inseam. I know what it says on the webpage, but I just wanted to make sure before I lop off the bottoms of my very, very nice jeans. Since they are not selvadge, I don't plan on cuffing.

Some love for 461.
Do you @Alex have any nonselvedge jeans planned? -
Thanks @sabergirl !

We used to stock them but people who apparently can't read would buy them and then return them because they were not selvedge. The denim also does not have as much character as the selvedge 21oz. The 461 is also a tricky cut to get to fit right, which increased the number of returns.
