IHSH-36 - White Twill Work Shirt - "THE GREAT WHITE"
-
It'll wash out - no biggie…..............
"Her-who-must-be-obeyed" won't be "her-who-has-to-wash-the-bloody-indigo-stained-shirt" though!
::) -
ok - so a couple of things:
first, i've just had a little nap . . . all the excitement must have wore me out a bit
second, after the usual forum chat and me looking forward to 'the great white', i never really got my arse in gear to buy this . . . something was niggling at me, and that particular worm wasn't making good noises about the shirt :-\
but then Beatle posts up her usual hi-grade shots and then i see something else . . . and very cool it was too
well, obviously that was the kick up the arse i needed, so i sent Mr G some ca$h and Mrs G sent me some goodies
now as you now all realise my timing wasn't too great, but i still get delivery about 17 seconds after i order (which still amazes me regardless what or how often i order), but i digress . . . so i open the parcel and amongst some other lovely stuff is TGW . . . i take it out and almost feel disappointed . . . ??? i hear you say?
well hang on, because what caught me was the lack of weight or heft of the shirt . . . but remember i've been brought up on a diet of 32's, 33's and even 37's - so something was obviously wrong
yup - you all guessed it, it was my brain that was mushed with drugs and shit . . . because this shirt is absolutely beautiful - it has finese the way some of my zegna and kilgour shirts have - all diaphanous and elegant, but it has an amazing quality the pictures can't express . . . the shirt needs to be (partly) buttoned-up, and and just enjoyed . . . with sleeves pushed up, not just neatly rolled, but crushed . . . not ironed properly or any nonsense like that, just used like a proper workshirt . . . even the argument about tucked in or not is irrelevant . . . wear it to work under a jacket, wear it on holiday with shorts . . . it just works on every level
bottom line is this; if you haven't got one . . . well let's just say you're missing out on something quite special . . .
