The Flat Head

anyone know if the difference between a regular sized tee or Wide version of the tee is very noticeable? I suspect only the pit to pit dimensions to be affected?
Yes, is quite noticeable. I bought a wide version once by mistake and it was almost like wearing the next size up.

@SLAB I agree with Chris. There are 3 TFH tee fits that I'm aware of, the 'R' size made exclusively for DC4 in Europe. They are supposed to be slightly broader in the shoulders and chest, the standard 44/XL type fit which is what I wear. I find chest, waist, and length to be perfect. Finally there is the slim fit which has a slight rapper to the waist. I have tried these in size 44/XL and the rapper really noticed and was not good for me. You would have to be of a younger or slimmer build for this cut to suit in my opinion.
Standard fit is great, it doesn't have side seems like some larger loopwheel tees, it doesn't flair out at the waist/opening, which some other brands do. They are worth the extra money I think. I hope that helps?

Cheers @Clint_D for my new-to-me The Flat Head camo shorts. These shorts will be coming to South East Asia with me and the Mrs

Just picked up this stellar pair of The Flat Head 3209Z 20oz One Wash Selvage Denim, size 36, bit tight on the waist but already stretching out after a couple of hours of wear.
These jeans are very heavy weight, feel great, Filthy is correct, not many jeans compare to IH when it comes to heavy weight jeans, but the Flat Head 20 ounce jeans weigh a ton, feel very thick and tough, but the fit is perfect, my second pair of Flat Heads (other pair are the The FlatHead K015, woven with Kevlar) and these are very nice jeans, love the solid blue stitching on the back.
Here's a pic of both, just cutting and pasting seller pics:
Flat Head 3209z 20 ounce
The Flat Head K015 13.5 ounce

Looks like they retained the weave characteristic I really like about TFH at this heavier weight. They have a very distinctive slub. Enjoy!

Really digging the rider @Aries ! Just waiting on @Danny RnH to give me the green light…

Nice @Manticore , pics when you receive! What size did you go for? I’m wearing an XXL just to give you an idea.
-
@Aries , waiting for a restock of an XL since I think that’s the best size. I was debating between that and the XXL but think the latter will be too big. The XL Sky Valley from 9L fits perfectly and the measurements are very similar through the chest and shoulders. I’m 5’9” 195lbs so bigger in the chest and shoulders. I believe you also have the 9L shadow country in XXL also correct? That fits beautifully but slightly snug in the chest and biceps.
How snug are the sleeves? Especially around biceps and the forearms? One area of concern for me is that they might be a bit snug.
-
@Manticore ah cool - I actually had the 9L XL size, and it was a good fit, bit snugger for sure than this Flathead jacket.
You’re a bit heavier than me (185lbs) but I’m taller (6’1), so either the XL or XXL would fit, but the vertical length of the XXL might be a bit long on you. Hopefully the restock hits soon!
Edit: ah don’t worry about the sleeves, they are nice and roomy (the cafe racer I’d be much more worried about, fits tight on the arms!)
-
Oh also @Manticore , not sure how long your arms are, but I would say the strangest quirk of these jackets is how short the sleeves are; especially after a few weeks once the beautiful creasing has happened all up the sleeve.
On my XXL when I bend my elbow I have about an inch and a half of wrist on view. I’ll upload an image. Doesn’t bother me but I think the XL on my arm might’ve looked a bit silly.
-
Thanks @Aries that might be an issue since I have fairly long arms. The XL sleeve measurements appear 1.75 inches shorter than my XL IHJ-35 and 1 inch shorter than the 9L Sky Valley. Once they arrive I’ll check in with Danny again on all the measurements.
