Sunday 29th and Monday 30th down to Kojima to play in the mills and factories….
-
Arrive Tuesday 24 at 5:30am
and will be staying at the Granbell, as per usual… Not liking the change of hotel, G!
I am also very upset to hear @Madame Buttonfly won't be there!
Leave Tokyo for Adelaide on June 3 (Friday).

The Granbel did it for me when they shut the bar at the back down. I love Yokohama, it is on the sea and just my sort of place. Eating is good and Yokohama has the largest China Town in Asia. I can get into Shibuya in 40 minutes and I can actually swing a very large cat in the room and lie down in the bath at the Monterey….
Plus, I get onto the subway at the very first stop of the line, so I get a seat, there is 4G coverage all the way to Shibuya, so I can work all the way, which is what I would be doing if I was in Shibuya anyway....

Makes perfect sense!
Granbell rates have gone up over the past few years, along with their popularity…
Had to book a big boys room for a change!

You and me both, @dylantbmayes - I am really sorry to miss you, I'm sure you will all have a ball x
-
I'll be thinking about ya! xx
-
It is not a store….It is our Tokyo office.
If you want to see IH, you need yo go here:

Is there a train back from Shibuya at 2 am?
-
Not long now… CAN'T WAIT!
-
I'm in Kojima NOW….. For non-Giles persons, Monday is the worst possible day to visit Jeans Street..... EVERYTHING is closed, nearly. Me and my Japanese *girlfriend could barely find a a decent meal. Either way, I made it to IH yesterday and bought a second white 1600 and a UHF.
Bumpy roads are more fun to travel on!
-
Wow, lol! Ok, well I can accept that. It's a nice place though, Kojima that is. We ate at Chikurin, after much searching… Delicious lunch.
Maybe I was just jaded due to the very limited time that I got at The Works yesterday (High winds delayed all trains from Kansai international)... Even though upon entering, Madoka kindly pointed out to me "I think you already have most of this stuff.....", lol!
Still a great trip, and already asking if it's okay to trek back from Okinawa for this meet up next month.

I think I read somewhere that you only should go to Jeans Street on the weekend.
-
Maybe me and the gf will hit the Tokyo leg of this trip… There are a few leather brands in the Tokyo area that I want to see, namely Tenjin Works and Highlarge Leathers... And LOTS of epic second hand shops to hit! Then round it out with bar hopping, and crazy nights in Roppongi. Hmmmmm

well yeah. i can attest to going to jeans street on weekends.. was there on a tuesday in jan because i was meeting up with sarina at IH. not much of the jeans street stores were open, and to top it off, momotaro, the usual ones that stay open on weekdays was closed for employee training the day i was there..
that said, there's still a couple kapital stores not far from IH that will be open..
