Just watch those laces @Chap. I had them on my burlap rough-outs originally and they left dark brown lines. Rough-out probably absorbs the die worse than smooth, but I probably wouldn't have used those laces had I known.
OK… thanks for letting me know @tvenuto this particular leather is vegetable tanned, I expect lots of stains and patina… but that’s part of the game, isn‘t it?

Are your Boss's built with the bump toe? I'm guessing not but I can't tell.
Thank you! They were ordered with the bump toe. I have a pair with a similar build to this and found the bump toe becomes more evident with wear.
-
They weren't worn much based on the wear to the sole. I'm guessing they are a 6 or 7 inch Warren? The seller says they're burgundy but he lost the box. But they don't really have the pop of burgundy domain although it could be the lighting, anyone have any guesses?
I’m not up on the names of the hybrid builds, but that looks like a Boss/Jobmaster toe with packer uppers, and I think that is the Warren.
As fot the leather, after researching the burgundy on the web a few years back, I came the conclusion that in 20 different pics it will present as 20 different shades ranging from brown to really quite red. These could definitely be Burgundy Domain. That being said the redwood oil tanned covers a similar range with wear, but if I was a betring man I’d say Burgundy Domain.
Great looking boots at a very good price. Congrats!

Agreed, and of course I'm not against evo, but it's like…if I knew a pen were leaky I wouldn't stick it in my jeans pocket on purpose. I also found I prefer the natural "give" in the woven laces. But that's the great thing about custom boots: you can do what you like.

These are the Wesco Warrens I got off eBay. Freshly saddle soaped and applied VSC conditioner, I'm pretty sure they're burgundy domain leather (more red in person than I thought). My Hendriks in size 9E are slightly too big but fit well, these Warrens are size 8.5D and are slightly too small I have to remove the leather insoles for a better fit. Not sure if I should size up my MTO order of Boss Engineers in size 8.5D, I think they're built on the same last as these Warrens.

My new natty cxl mr lou’s just showed up.
They are really nice! I don’t really know why I waited so long to get a pair of them. Now comes the fun part!
The one boot has a little squeak in the midfoot that should hopefully work it’s self out in time.

Very nice looking boots!

@kkibbey23 Those are a lovely looking boot. Can I ask if that is a special order leather custom build? The colour of your boots look lighter than both the CXL and horsehide Brown IH/Wesco Mr Lou's?

No, they aren’t a custom makeup. I grabbed these from standard and strange in California. They are natural CXL
Here’s the store link to the build[emoji41]
They also have them on the Wesco Website if standard and strange is out of your size.

Wearing theses today. This natural cxl is impressive stuff
I’ve still got a pretty good squeak going on in the right foot. I talked with Chris and if it doesn’t go away after some wear I will send them back and get the heel redone.

@kkibbey23 , fyi @filthy recently solved a similar squeaky boot problem on a Viberg by drilling fine holes into the inner sole and injecting some oil into them. Apparently with great success. I’ll add the link to his post if I find it.

Every time I see a pair of Wesco black boots, I'm swayed closer and closer to buying a pair. Those look clean and great!

…wow! Ordered a pair of custom boots from the folks at Wesco on March 4th and recently on my account site it said that they were currently being built.
...well, I was just contacted through email from Karen at Wesco and it looks like I'll be waiting an additional 10-12 weeks! :o They're behind 5-6 weeks in the factory due to a plethora of issues and they now have to bump out production times to 24+ weeks!! :o
...they're not accepting any 'rush' orders at all. Karen said she's been working for Wesco for 21 years and has never seen it this busy! Not a bad problem to have but being buried probably is not fun.
...so it looks like its going to be awhile until I don my first pair of custom Wesco's! It's all cool. Glad I got in in when I did.

…oh and nice pair of boots @Mlwdp!! Can't wait to see mine!
