@Oaktavia thanks man! I used to stitch by hand but as that took me very long and im not really talented at it I got a very cheap used sewing machine and taught me how to (badly) do it

@Max:
Added a few patches
You should x-post to the music thread. I'm discovering a tonne of good bands I'd never heard of thanks to your vest. Thanks!
-
That's awesome. Cheers @EdH

if i wear a size 42 (XL?) in the IH-526PJ, which size should I get in this vest?
-
Pretty sure XL should be fine then
-
just picked up this piece in the XL. will post fit pics soon. will this stretch? i dig the fit, but would dig it more if it broke just a little bit.
-
it's fitted, more than it's tight. if it gives 1/4" i should be good
-
Here are a few better pics:
I think it can work if it just gives a little.

It may not be a very popular opinion around here, but I personally want my vests to be fitted. I recently picked up the indigo wabash vest and sized down 1 from my IH thermal size, to wear it over a t-shirt.
That said, I can see how it's puckering a bit in the chest/pit area. I don't think it looks bad if you don't think it's uncomfortable. You're probably in a situation where the next size up might be a little loose, if you're looking for a fitted look.
But yeah, duck won't give much.

size up

I sized up to the 44 (XXL) and brought it on my vacation to Kauai. Fit is definitely better. It's not the best match with swim trunks, but it's also not the worst…

Here's the 44, which I'm keeping. Returning the 42 next week.
