IH-777N - 17oz Selvedge Denim Super-Slim Tapered Cut Jeans - Natural Indigo

Thanks to all for the quick and informed responses.
@Giles I'll send a message about sizing. Does organic cotton differ from non-organic in terms of form and function?
@Jett129 I was thinking that as well. It can get pretty warm here in Michigan. I'm not against shorts, but in A/C environments I prefer jeans.
@neph93 Great answer, especially about the narrowness of comparison. I have jeans from another manufacturer that fit very close to these and I like them a lot too. They are truly dramatically different (slubby and rough). I'm still interested in the IH family though, just a different family member.
Your comment about the denim evolving and becoming neppier is very interesting. By drier, do you also mean crisper? The thicker indigo will get me in trouble. I already got scolded for transferring indigo from my new 21 oz jeans from my bare legs to the bed sheets lol.

I don’t really do much denim outside of IH and I have, or have had, most of them. Never have I bought a new IH denim and thought «oh shit, these are too similar to that other IH denim». But Haraki-san is not a fan of slub, and likes an even hand, so there often some similarities. Otherwise weight, hand, fading, pattern etc are all pleasingly different from denim to denim.

Some photos comparing unworn 777N and 777S-21 worn daily for three weeks. Definitely different. I like the 777N. It's exactly what I wanted, which is a contrast to the 777S-21 with the same fit. I really like the
deeperricher indigo. The last photo is a bit blurry, but it shows the hairiness, as well as the beginnings of fade along the pocket stitching of the 777S-21.

I couldn't find this answered elsewhere. Why no lined rear pockets on this model? I really don't mind. Just curious.
-
I guess that when we were speccing them, we forgot to include lined rear pockets as a requirement, or if we did it was missed…..And then we did not notice that the pockets were unlined when we approved the sample........
A simple sequence of small mistakes is the root cause of even the most major accidents......

Update on the jeans I posted about previously in this thread. The sun came out a little today, so I decided to put these on after washing last month (first and only wash - they needed it) and try to get some pics. I struggled to get any that show the contrast and coloring as well as they look in person.
Probably not as striking as some of the other denims like the XHR. But it's unlike any denim I've ever seen. I wore these about 95% of the time shown, so at least 215 wears. Like the description says, slow fading, but with great contrast. I have a new pair I may start working on, because these may be saved for special occasions as they're at great point in their evolution (IMO).

Short post:
best fit ever. Just sits on my waist without needing a belt and wraps my leg just well. Feels like Mede-to-measure. After tried more than 10 brands and pairs, finally found the best cut so far even the first pair from IH was a failure due to my wrong measurement. Looking forward to the great fades!!!
Added a photo of my previous 777S-21 for comparison

@neph93 After wearing them all day I realize that there's no way these are staying in the closet for long. I look forward to an accelerated fade. After coming back to these after wearing the 21 oz for a couple weeks, I've noticed that these stretch less. I like both, but prefer the fit on the N. I'll probably wear the 21 oz on the colder days here in Michigan.
@Leef Nice fit … about like mine. Best fitting jeans I own.

Finally found another use for that carpet fan.

Just when I thought the financial onslaught for this fall/winter was over you go and restock these.
-
Just to confirm, this is the same denim used in the lined Type III correct?
-
Thought so.

Sizing chart on first page updated ready for restock Wednesday. New tag sizes 35 and 44 added
Did the thighs come out a bit bigger on this run? I don't recall what the sizing chart looked like in comparison on the previous runs.
