IH-526L - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo

I did a cold soak with no agitation other than putting it in the water and removing it and got almost an inch lost in the length dimensions. The widths shrunk a little bit it seems to have molded and stretched a little where it was put under tension back to pre soak dims. I documented numbers in here somewhere and the shrink test done by IH confirmed I likely got all the shrink out.
Personally, I'd keep that one you're wearing for a traditional snug fit, it looks like you could stand to lose some body length. The next size up would work too if you want to layer it. Fwiw, I still layer an IH hoodie under mine.

@Fades-for-future The fit looks good.
-
Thanks guys @Oaktavia @pechelman @twin , i might do only a cold water soak. Pretty happy with the fit, got some room in the shoulders, arms and arm lenght.... I think i will keep it, a size up would be to big for me as i tryd and i'm still on my way to loose some weight wich i already did (7kg) ....
-
@Fades-for-future that is what I would do, good buddy.
-
@Oaktavia cold soak or loosing weight?
-
@Fades-for-future lol my ADHD only allowed my brain to read the first part of your comment, the cold soak lol my bad
-
@Oaktavia haha all good buddy, will do both
-
@Fades-for-future best of luck on the weight loss my friend and enjoy the jacket. It's the best T3 in the universe.
-
@Oaktavia thanks man, much appreciated yeah this jacket is awesome
-
Soak done with around 30 degree water, light creases set and now ready to fully dry... Man, this jacket is no joke -
@pechelman can't wait start wearing and becoming it a bit more softer... In my opinion the jacket feels more heavy to wear than my 25oz. jeans, maybe cause it's on my upper body and not on my legs
-
I agree that it feels heavier than the 25oz, just because of that extreme crunchiness. My jacket has softened up a LITTLE bit at around 50 wears.
I just got a pair of the 634s in it and can't wait to see how this denim works as jeans. Viva la crunch.
-
@popvulture I know it's the same fabric and maybe it's just my impression, but in the jeans (I own a 634 ver.2 and a 666 latest version) I didn't find the same rigidity and "plasticity" as the jacket. I love them both but I was expecting armor but instead they are very comfortable and light, any XHS is much more rigid in my opinion
-
@pechelman @popvulture right on guys and great to be in the crunchy club
-
My experience was different. I was expecting the 25oz 634 to be difficult to wear in the beginning and alot of forum members were having a hard time button them up. Never for me. They felt pretty comfy by day 2. My 634 leftie v2 still gives me hard time to button the top button after 2 years of wear. Its interesting how we all have our own personal experiences.
-
@Luijim78 I've heard other people the same thing about the jeans vs the jacket, no idea why that is! I'm psyched to try it for myself.
I always find 25oz to be pretty gnarly at first, but I feel like it softens up pretty quickly.
-
The jacket definitely feels gnarlier than any other but the pants are pretty tough also but not to the extend of the jacket. I have both and is my experience with it. Also an observation, i have an 888 leftie from the new batch and a 634 v2 the older batch. The older batch felt stiffer to me than my 888's. Probably just a batch variation.
-
to a small extent this is felt with every fabric, for example I have the CPO 409 in 19oz i/b and it seems a little stiffer than the 777 I have in the same fabric, but in the case of the Lefty (at least in my miserable experience) the difference seems really very very marked... also the shrinkage, I did the same soaking for the jacket and for the two jeans, the jacket had the shrinkage mentioned, the jeans little or nothing... I don't understand the reason, However, I totally agree that Lefty jeans stay crispier for longer than XHS jeans.
