IH-888-NT - 21/23oz indigo Selvedge DWC Jeans

Does ANYONE have an idea of the shrinkage for the rises? These are "borderline" for me, to quote Madonna, ugh.
@Giles -
@Giles - even the inseam length?
-
Raw IH bottoms are made slightly oversized and will shrink to tagged size, i.e. a tag 36 of the 888NT will measure 37,2 in its raw state and will shrink to a targeted 36. And the UHR is pretty abrasive, crispy und tough, even after several washes, so it depends on how much pain you can endure if you decide to stretch them…
-
As a newbie to the UHR, is it better to size large and shrink (tag size 36 shrink to fit 35.5) or size smaller (tag size 35, and cold soak and take precautions not to shrink)?
I appreciate the wisdom of your experiences.
Thsis what the tag size 36 sample did…....

Quick tip on sizing, as I'm wearing the washed sample of this cut right now. Go true to size, the size 36 are absolutely perfect for me.
I'll add some fit pics as soon as I get some daylight and a break from the rain.
So excited to see these fit pics…

There will be a slight delay in posting decent fit pics after a mishap collecting a lost football from a building site this evening

lol…I know! IIRC you have said (or someone at IHUK) that this is extremely dense and unbreathable denim?
The 25oz breathes like linen by comparison.
well shoot, maybe you guys have talked me out of this then.
great winter weight denim-maybe not AZ winter . I have this denim in 55, BB,(2) & I'm going for this too so, yeah I like it.like it a lot
-
Yeah that's what initially attracted me to this denim was the blue hue, looks lovely. But sounds like the general consensus is that it's too warm for AZ winters. Oh well…I love m y 18oz vintage and it has a great hue to the blue as well so I can live with.those

it's too warm for AZ winters.
No, it isn't. You're just in the wrong part of Arizona. Two hours up 17 and you're in perfect weather.

Ah, this is true….I should specify. Too warm for Phoenix winters. I'm too used to talking to people from other parts of the country who assume that the whole state is a massive, arid desert.
-
I'm still tempted to get these either way. Like @Dion said, this stuff won't be made again.

I understand. I spent a lot of time explaining to people that it snows in Flagstaff. And that it's in the middle of an honest to god actual forest. In Arizona.
