First day wearing the IH-888-NT. Inseam shrunk two inches and the waist shrunk one inch with a 3 hour cold soak, and two hot washes (no spin). Patch was treated with Renaissance wax (front and back) pre soak and it still looks brand
Care to elaborate on the wax brand? I googled renaissance wax and got results for a
Museum Quality metal wax… thanks -
@Matty123 You have found the correct wax. On the tin, the uses include metal, leather, porcelain, etc… I have used it before on knives (to prevent corrosion), leather (moisture repellent), and wood (light polish). I have had good results when used as directed (small amount worked into the surface)
I don’t know of any long term issues, but it has been working for me for the last 7-8 years.

I didn't get as much shrink as I expected in the length - 1.5". I was looking for an inseam of around 33-33.5", and it was recommended I get them at 35.5". Now they are at 34.0", which is too long in this cut. I'll have to get them hemmed again. I usually don't wear cuffs, and like some stacks, but this is too much.
Pre and Post measurements, size 34;
Waist: 34.0" - 33.0"
Front rise: 12" - 11.5"
Back rise: 16.5" - 15.75"
Thigh @ crotch: 13.325" - 13.0"
Thigh 2" down: 12.5 - 12.0"
knee @ 14" down: 9.25" - 9.0"
Hem: 8.5" - 8.325"
Inseam: 35.5" - 34.0"Overall, at the moment, I'm not as stoked as most fella's here are. I think these 34's are a size too big in the waist and top block, but the thighs down are good. But if I had gone with a 33 I'd have thighs on the tight side. I'm fearful that once the denim stretches out and relaxes, I'm gonna have saggy crotch and diaper butt due to the high rise. I'll give them another hot wash soon to get any remaining shrink out, but I don't expect much more. When I get them hemmed 1" shorter I'll probably feel better about them.
Once I'm fully recovered from recent surgeries, start exercising again at full tilt and get my ass back, I might fill these jeans out a bit more.

Dude, that is a great fit! And I can attest - the shrinkage for UHR dosnt fully occur until the 3rd or 4th wash, so you will be good!

For those of you that have been wearing these for a few days now…. hows the stretch? Anybody getting anything past original measurements?

We are in the same boat. My 33s are pretty restrictive in the thighs, and i'm planning to hit the weights this winter. With tight thighs it definitely seems to put a lot of tension on the crotch. Debating trying some 34s an managing with a looser waist.

@mpukas in my experience, this particular denim won't stretch much (besides the waist) if no hard resistance
is constantly applied to it like in the case in a tight fit. That said, you can probably squeeze out more shrink if you hot wash it (60 C). It shouldn't ruin the denim if you soak it properly before hand.
I'd say give it a try.. the top block can afford to tight up a bit in my view but it looks good as is, all a matter of personal preferenceSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
