IH-526Lod - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo Overdyed Black
-
@pechelman damn it if you aren’t right! It’s just simple math for god’s sake!!!
-
@Mizmazzle some people also suggest there's a minimum condition for this to be true where n must always be greater than or equal to 3.
-
@pechelman oh shit!! Variables?? Sounds like science to me!!!
-
@Mizmazzle as for IH I have these, then I have a pair of Momotaro type1 and 2, lee101 rider and Levis vintage
-
@Mizmazzle ahaha thanks my friend, the only problem is explaining this law to my partner
-
@Mizmazzle Thanks, brother! I started with a 14oz Type III from IH, then traded that for a 16 Slub. I added a 16 Slub OD but didn't connect with it, so I sold it and then bought this one after comparing it to a 14OD. This 19 LH OD is pretty much EXACTLY what I was looking for and it is a great complement to the non-OD 16 Slub...this jacket just checks all the boxes for me...robust with a heavy grain but still very easy to wear and break in!

I copped one of these in an XXL and boy what a great jacket!! A few days later the size was no longer available, so I am happy I impulse purchased it.
I have a whipcord type 3 in Indigo which I love, but it is not sized to fit a hoody or flannel under it. This one is just right for winter.
-
@Southern What are your measurements if you don’t mind me asking. I’m 6’ and weigh 180 so I’m debating between an XL and XXL
-
I am 6'4" 190. Unless you have unusually long arms and want to fit burly layers under it, I think an XL might be the best fit for you.
-
@Southern Appreciate the info! I was leaning towards the XL and this was helpful!
-
Damn I want an XL in this beauty
-
Just got this jacket and couldn’t decide whether I needed XL or XXL so I got both! Figured I’d just sell the one that didn’t fit. Well (un)fortunately they both fit and I don’t know what to do. If I want to layer with a UHF, the XXL is perfect. Just a tshirt and the XL is a better fit. Would I be an idiot to keep both?? The pics are of the XL and for reference, I’m 5’11 175 lbs.
-
@pjroo33 This is my favorite IH Type III of all time...I am surprised you would need to go up to XXL to layer a UHF underneath. I am 5'10" around 172lbs and I have the Size L and can comfortably layer a thermal or light sweater under it. I have no doubt the XL would afford plenty of room for a UHF.
In any event, the jacket looks great on you...I wouldn't size up any further IMO!
-
@pjroo33 oh man!! That is quite the conundrum. I had the indigo version in a super trim over a tee only fit and found it didn’t fill the spot I wanted it to. I ended up sizing up. I found the larger size still looks great with a tee but I can also wear it over a UHF flannel.
Keeping both is the baller move…but perhaps not totally necessary if you are able to find one size that can best meet your needs.
