Not feeling those.

I'm really liking the new Luxe Leather low tops:
They should definitely release a hi-top version sooner than later.

The local Converse outlet has a rack with the remainders of discontinued styles on it. They're normally discounted, but occasionally they have a sale on.
Today was one of those days. My girlfriend and I grabbed four pairs, three of which are from the Seventies range, for a grand total of $100 (Australian). She was debating whether to get the blue sneakers, and I told her to take them, as they were so cheap.
Yes, I did get a pair of floral print Converses!

And they did. So I snagged these leather hi-tops during the Easter sale for less than half of their original price:
Pretty stoked but I'm still not sure whether it's a very dark brown or a shade of maroon. Let's see how they end up in rl…

Aaand they're here:
And they look brilliant. The colour is a very nice brown/burgundy mix. I like it quite a lot.
White rubber sole this time.
All in all I'm very happy with them. To my surprise they are even more comfortable than the usual CT 70s because the footbed is much softer and cushy than on old 70 iterations. I did some research and it seems all new editions have this (even more) padded footbed which is brilliant. You can spot the new releases by the sewn-on CT patch on the canvas models contrary to the printed one on the old ones.
Old (coloured):
New (note the added ''70''):

lust for them. never pulled the trigger, probably never will..

Apparently all new 70s releases have a new, massively cushioned and removable OrthoLite insole. The insole on older releases is thinner, glued and not removable.
On the heel it's more than twice the thickness of the old one.
Additionally the blue coloured footbed is padded as well!
So the new 70s Chucks are even more comfortable than the already nice previous 70s iterations.

Swapped the stock cotton laces for some Red Wing nylon ones. So much better now.
Good shout! Look glorious

Another killer outlet deal: both pairs, $104 out the door… the lady messed up and gave me a promotion although they were excluded lol

Cheers, mate! I did the same on my other leather pair and I'm very happy with the results. The RW laces are easier to tie and hold my feet much better in place. Highy recommendable!
