IH-526PJ - 21oz Selvedge Denim Modified Type III Jacket - Indigo

@tody thanks!
-
Downsized to XXL.
Fit check:
-
@tody very little restriction even with the heavyweight hoodie. Comfortable.
Thought about pushing it down to XL but then I probably wouldn’t be able to layer. I keep this!
Sleeves might be a tad too big but hopefully it’ll shrink with creasing and washes.
-
Looks like you have room in the back to go down one more size for a more fitted look but loose some layering options. Your call obviously but i like the type iii fitted.
-
I think I can go 1 more down, I will report next week with a fit check, ty my dude
-
Looks great to me. If it were me I would keep this size. I value comfort and a jacket I can button up though. Just depends on what you’re after.
-
@MassiveThighs Another thing to consider is how you are going to wear the CPO and 526. In my opinion, the 526 looks best fitted over a tee and a great pair of jeans. Simple, classic, and always looks good. The CPO does look really good layered and I like the hoodie underneath. It also works well with just about everything.
Mix them up as I said in the other thre (293). Gives you options for whatever you want to do.

I second this, in my opinion a looser comfortable fitting jacket > form fitting jacket. My 19oz Lefty fits like the one you have pictured @MassiveThighs and I highly value being able to button it up over an IH hoodie, UHF, Western, etc. A jacket sized just for a tshirt is for just that.
Again, certainly relies on what you are after.

@goosehd ya I just realized that cpo looks better without a hoodie underneath. Do u think I should go with xxl or xl after looking at my pics in the 293 thread?
-
@Oaktavia ok cool! I think I could go 1 more down, but wouldn’t be able to layer, which I want to do..
-
@MassiveThighs I see jackets as outer layers while CPOs I wear the same as Westerns. These pieces are versatile; able to be worn with some variety depending on one's preference.
-
@MassiveThighs Personally, I can’t stand shirts/hoodies/layers hanging out below the bottom of a 526 and the reason I just like them fitted with t shirts.
The CPO is perfect for layering as it will cover anything that hangs out.
Just my $.02
-
@goosehd ah ok, makes sense.
For the cpo, I’m just wearing a button down, so should it be as fitted as the type 3? I’m going back and forth between xl and xxl..
-
@MassiveThighs I honestly think you would look better with an xl. There is quite a bit of excess material in your xxl pics through the body. I take it your lats/chest are probably your hardest area to fit, but it still looks as if you could size down.
From the way it looks you have quite an athletic physique (based upon previous pictures) and have spent a lot of time in the weight room/gym. You've worked hard for that physique and should show it off by wearing clothes that fit smaller and not hide it by wearing looser fits.
Once again, my $.02.
-
@goosehd I was thinking the xl too. For some reason I’ve wore clothing a bit larger my whole life.
I’ve just realized these types of clothing require a slimmer fit to look well, especially the type 3

personally i find most iron heart stuff looks a bit better on the tighter/fitted side than the larger baggy side, but thats just me
