Fell victim to these too…

This fabric is incredible soft. Iron Heart hit this one out of the park just like they do with all of their products!

Love the accessories you’re rockin’ @atm23 Is that a blade on your key ring?

@RoxRocks86 Good eye! Its a small Cold Steel knife. Comes in handy many a times.

@Sam:
Alex wears tag 33
Completely new to Iron Heart and just trying to decide on my first pair. This fit looks exactly what I am after. Would it be possible to get more or less the same fit in the IH-888S? I appreciate the measurements vary a bit but are they fairly similar overall?
How much did Alex size down below his waist measurement?
Thanks!

@cosmic55 The 888 iterations are relatively stable as are all IH cuts across the range of denims. The denim used on this pair is also the same as on the 888S (just overdyed).
The info on the web shop product pages will help you in your quest for knowledge. Alex’s measurements and sizing should be there. I believe W33 is his standard size.
The webshop’s compare function will also be useful to you as you can check measurement variations between the two iterations.
EDIT: you should note that the overdying takes absolutely all the shrinkage out of a fabric so the OD version comes up slightly smaller than the standard 21oz. But seeing as the standard 21oz is quite heavily sanforised already the difference is marginal.

Thanks for that.
So I should be able to achieve a similar fit in the IH-888-S. Obviously there will be variation due differing body shapes.
I was just wondering as well how much he had sized down in the waist from his true waist measurement. To my eye they look slightly slimmer fitting than some other peoples fits on the 888.
i had been thinking about the 555 or 666 but they were probably going to be a bit snug in the thigh whereas the 888 seems quite spacious.
I was wondering how far I could size down to keep the thigh a touch slimmer whilst remaining comfortable.
Obviously if that's not a good idea then just being comfortable is more important.
My best fitting jeans at moment measure 36" in the waist and around 12.75" in the thigh. My Edwin Nashville's measure 13.25" in the thigh and they are fine really!

You can size down slightly in the 888 as they are worn higher on the hip, but I wouldn't recommend dropping down a tag.
I am afraid I grabbed a tag 33 off the shelf and put them on for that photo, did not measure and do not own so cannot really compare.
If it helps, the last pair of jeans I bought measured 32.7 brand new, and are on the comfortable side of tight pre-stretch. -
Looking at the site measurements, I’d suggest a tag 34 in the 888s.
Yeah, I think that sounds about right. My 36"s have a tiny bit of slack so even 35.5" might be alright. I think a tag size 33" might be risky, especially as I want them hemmed.
Thanks again!
Where are you based? Always better safe than sorry with hemming, take them unhemmed then return for hemming after you know the fit is good. Or, I can tell you where to go locally…

If I can get at least an inch of stretch out of the 34 tag then they should be great

IH-888S-OD will be restocked in all sizes in about 8-12 weeks. IH-634-XHSOD will not be restocked.
Waiting for Goxxx… 36...

I am based near Newcastle upon Tyne. You don't happen to know any one for hemming up here do you? I don't know anywhere I trust with them.
I did think about possibly ordering from you and if size was ok then sending them back to be hemmed. Only problem is that will add a good chunk of cost to what will already be easily the most expensive jeans I've ever bought!
