IH-526V-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Type III Vest - Indigo

whoops sorry! didn’t mean to misinform
wore it tonight though

Man, zero action in the 25oz vest thread. Is love to convince myself to nab one but am curious how everyone has been enjoying theirs through the long haul
-
@Joberwocky If you can find one in your size, get it.
I owned mine for the better part of 2 years and decided to sell it after the hard admission that i sized it incorrectly (too big) by 2 sizes.
This is a lifetime piece. no elbows to get holes in, no sleeves rubbing the side seams to wear over time due to high friction.
Like XHS jeans, it got soft and supple over time and had that perfect mix of feeling like you are wearing armor and the heavy comfort of an armless weighted blanket.
I am keeping my eye out for a large on the used market, but my list of wants is long and I move on things like molasses.
Get one if you can, and confuse onlookers as I did many moons ago.

@jordanscollected I guess I hadn't thought of the wear in terms of less "in contact" areas on a vest. You make some good points "for"
-
There's been a medium sitting in stock for what feels like forever, I couldn't resist anymore, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
-
Ha, it'll take some effort to hit your example @Kasi

Glad I sized one down from my shirt size, this thing is built like a tank! I think I'll give it a proper soak later like I did my xhs 777 before wearing and go from there, the long and arduous "softening"

Thanks guys, ive been eyeing this sucker up for a while
-
Water in the new apartment gets pretty darn toasty, wife's asleep, time for some fun with denim
-
perfect fit @Joberwocky, I miss my vest badly and will replace it in size large some day. IIRC, the hand pockets are sewn on the bottom inside so they can be used at interior pockets. Now I'm second guessing that…
-
When I was first looking at the vest I thought it had interior pockets before I realized it was the backside of the pocket bags, so I believe you're correct @jordanscollected
-
The best looks great and the fit is on spot @Joberwocky
-
Well, now it's sufficiently "crispy" but I'm still loving the fit and have the room to get some layering under it if necessary.

Felt I had to

Thanks for the tip @Jett129 , I had to look them up. I'm typically an armored leather jacket all the time guy, but for a quick run out 25oz denim almost feels armor enough
