IH-634S-142 - 14oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

I'm wearing the 634 today and I'm absolutely in love with this fit. The pictures did not do justice until now where I was of the impression that it would be too relaxed for a fit, but I was wrong. I like the 634 even more than the 666 cut. The top block is the most comfortable part of this denim. I'm now afraid that I have to rebuild my wardrobe with 634 everywhere.

I like the crispness of this denim. Is this comparable to the crispness of the UHR? For how long will this stay like this? The XHS after just a few days of wear have become so soft. I guess these will remain crispier for longer time. Am I correct?

@the246guy The 14oz selvedge denim is not comparable to the UHR in my opinion. The UHR stays stiffer for longer, and has a noticeably tougher break in period.
It all depends on how much you wear them. If you wear them every day for a fortnight and give them a decent wash at the end of it, they'll begin to the soften up in no time.

Lighter fabric equals quick wear and tear? Is this correct? Reason is, I'm wearing my 14oz for just 2 weeks and I can already see some good amount of wear around the hem, while it took few months for my heavier fabrics to show some wear around the hem.

I have signed up to be notified, but are these going to be restocked soon?

For those of you who own the 14 oz broken twill and these … how do they compare? Is it worth owning both.
I have the broken twill and love them. Thinking of adding these.

@Brandrea I think @Steve has both. I've only had 142bb in the past, but my wearing broken twill 555 right now, it's got a little more 'character' in my opinion but the 14oz is still a solid choice
Thanks a lot Adam … I’ll ponder next steps

@AdamJ @Brandrea I've only the 14oz, not the broken twill unfortunately, but can recommend the 14oz as AJ says, they are a solid choice - which I rotate with my 21s
Thanks Steve, good to know

Hi everyone, I have a question related to the waist and by how much it will stretch out.
It is stated that with wear the waist will stretch out around 1 inch. Which means, after some time, a 31 inches waist will become 32 inches.
Do I understand correctly?
I’m asking because based on the size chart, actual measurements are perfect on the waist however if it stretches out up to 1 inches, I’d need definitely to size down.
Any feedback of owners ?
Thanks -
@jthomz If all other measurements work for you at a size 31 then stay with the size 31. The waist will only stretch as much as there is tension on the waistband.
You can size down (and should only size down) if all of the other dimensions work for you. All of us have different areas where we have issues, thighs, calves, waist, etc. and try to maintain the silhouette that we are after.
For me the 666 and 634 cuts works best, while others prefer slimmer cuts. Each person is different as is our preferences for fit.

@goosehd thanks for your feedback.
The tricky part being, if the waist stretches out up to 1 inch, then it would be my perfect waist measurement. If it doesn’t, then it will be too tight.
Hence, I’m trying to get as much info as possible on that topic, because it will be hit or miss (need to get the jeans hemmed).
Had experience in the past with some jeans that didn’t stretch much in the end (Nudies Selvedge) or in the opposite, stretched too much ( Levi’s STF).
