IHJ-75-BLK - Primaloft Mountain Parka

@AdamJ I was thinking that the XS might be rather too snug when layering with a thick wool pullover or IH hoodie underneath, for example and that the S would, while being longer in the overall length and sleeve length, be a little more accommodating in the chest and overall fit. I'm probably making it more complicated than it has to be, since I'm trying to get the nuances right

@cityofdelusion Ah gotcha, for what its worth, these jackets are very warm. I know that heat retention and "how warm is X" is extremely relative from one person to the next, but I couldn't envisage it being particularly comfy or necessary to wear an IH Hoodie beneath, your movement would be restricted for sure! Just my two cents, obviously wear it how you wish.
I understand what you're saying, hard to find that balance between having enough room, but not ending up with too much

@cityofdelusion so I am a L in the IHJ-79, and probably in between a M and L in the IHJ-75, when I tried on the M the armpit hole was roomy, certainly more than the IHJ-79 I have. I would personally go for the M (but would generally not have anything bulky underneath it)

Nailed it!
Personally, most jackets don't keep me warm enough in the peak winter time (and I really hope this will based on all the positive reviews I read). But I also don't want to wear something too lightweight beneath the jacket and then having to freeze my a** off in the office, when I take it off
-
@Steve Ah, alright! That sounds like I should go for XS if I want to go for lightweight clothing beneath the jacket and S if I want to layer a little more. But either way, it sounds like I shouldn't experience the arm holes / arms being tight like it was on the IHJ-79 which is what made me size up. Thank you for your quick input!

@Karol Since you've had the jacket for a while now, it would be nice to read a review from you regarding your experiences in terms of fit, sizing, functionality, versatility etc. of the jacket if you have time and energy to write something up. More photos and reviews on product threads are always welcome!

@cityofdelusion I was thinking about adding to the convo, just needed to collect my thoughts.
I got mine in M and to put that in perspective I go M for all UHF work shirts and I'm loose L in UHF Western cut or CPO.
I found it to be a roomy M contrasting it with tight M that I have in IHJ-79-BLK. I usually use it only under extreme conditions and then I usually have some heavy Henley as base layer, then some UHF, and a CPO. Its all quite trim fitting, but its quite heavy layering so I kind of expect it and have no problem with how it feels. -
@cityofdelusion can't tell anything about long time experience since I got my 75 in the last sale and did not wear it more than two times last week when it was 1°c in the early morning but I wear a XXL-XXXL in most westerns (tight/loser) and wear an XL in the 75 and can still layer and move around. It's a stunning jacket and overengineered to the max as usual with IH.

@Karol @FlavourFade Thank you guys for your input!

@Karol That sounds like an outfit for travelling to the south pole

Was strolling through Amsterdam today and chose the 75 for that because I am a little sick and cold and it felt great. Warm, not heavy or restricting and perfect over my beloved Kersey. Yes its expensive but I love it and am very happy with the purchase.
