IH-555-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo/Black

@Heavy_blue
Soaked them for 45 minutes in hot water. Started 37.75”, and ended with 37.5”.
Wish it shrunk more, but I guess a belt would do for now.
-
@MassiveThighs Soaking by itself will not shrink it as much agitation combined with the hot water.
Put it in a tub filled with hot water and either use a gloved hand or stick to stir the jeans during the soak. Doing so may give you a little bit more shrinkage.
-
It would be my business model to never run out of the $500 jeans lol. And I mean never.
-
@CosmoSix5 The biggest issue with current stock and availability is that the Japanese factories are currently at max production (actually beyond max production) and do not have the ability to make any more than they currently do.
The want by all parties is there, but the ability to do so is not.
-
@goosehd crazy. .. Glad they keep the quality solid.
-
I noted the slim 666 has less on the thigh in my 38 size compared to the 555 super slim. Can this be explained for me? -
@CosmoSix5 it happens sometimes, I think it depends on the greater increase in the waist of the 555, the super slim part of the 555 I think is just the knee
-
@CosmoSix5 the 666 has a trimmer topblock then the 555 so it’s totally normal on this case. The 666 has a trim and fitted topblock and a straight legg. Where the 555 has a higher rise amd therefore sits differently on the body so has some more room in that area and tapers down.

Yeah, that would be ours if we could but we cant. Well we could but then we'd not be able to offer all our other denims, and not all our customers want 25oz
-
@Heavy_blue thanks. I figured it had something to do with where they sat on the body. Thanks for making it understandable.
-
Tried a 2nd hot soak and managed to shrink the waist a bit more. Added some boiling water to the tub which seemed to help.
Start: 18.75”
End: 18.25”Wish I can get these to a 18”, but close enough.
-
@MassiveThighs so what was the total shrink in inches for you? What about the inseam with boiling water? Sounds nerve wracking on a $500 pair of jeans lol
-
@CosmoSix5 lost a whole inch if you’re measuring circumference. I wasn’t really worried about the inseam shrinkage as I always cuff my jeans. Just needed some waist shrinkage.
