Wow! @Oaktavia @alexswords, it has been said by others already but I can only concur: both your jeans look fantastic! Yes, that evening light makes for some great pics! I'm not as far along as you are, but approaching the 100 wears mark. Will post some pics after I get there and when the light is good.

@alexswords I'm noticing too that your fit looks exactly spot on. Better than mine I should say. I vaguely recall reading you sized down at one point. Do you still find them comfortable to wear? (I realize comfort is a relative concept when wearing 25 oz. denim)

@Lowlander hey dude! thanks for the kind words. my sizing journey has been a funny one and lots of people made fun of me for it.. I originally bought these in a tag size 31 and they fit me well but i thought i could go i little tighter so i sold the 31's and sized down to a 30. The 30's were REALLY snug but i was making them work. They started to stretch and give but they were very uncomfortable in any type of heat..
I was a couple months in with the 30's when the Indigo Invitational came along. (A brand new 12 month fade contest that originated through the "Raw Denim" facebook page) I knew i wanted to compete but the rules were all entrants had to show proof of a new pair jeans and i loved the 555XHSib so, I bought yet another new pair and decided to go back to the 31's just to give myself a little breathing room (if you know what i'm saying)
So this is my 3rd pair of the same jeans and i've been wearing them for approx 10 months but i'm olny at about 190 wears out of almost 300 days. I've soaked them twice, both times in hot water and gave them a little agitation with some mild detergent and a light brushing to clean the denim. i'm very happy with the jeans but as you probably have learned they are not like anything else when it comes to breaking them in but it's well worth the effort!! I'd love to see some pics of yours if you have time!
Cheers

Thanks Alex for the detailed response! That's actually a great story, showing real dedication to this particular denim.
I asked because I recently treated myself to one of the last 555-02s from the outlet and decided to size down with that one. Post-soak fit felt snug but doable, but will find out for sure only later after this one has had some more time in my rotation.
Here's a quick snapshot I took earlier today. Not a great one but will post again later!

@Lowlander nice pic! I think the fit looks spot on! are those your 555xhsib?? they look great. they're very stubborn at first but soon you'll notice the electric blues start to shine through. Just keep wearing them hard and they'll reward you

Thanks! Yes, that's them!

Man it's so cool to see this denim in the wild. They look awesome on everyone lol.
Are those IR 8111? If so we match from the waist down to feet.

I believe it is IHSH 139 @alexswords . I have it, wonderful light flannel for us subtropics dwellers. Al ways regretted not getting its twin green sibling.
