Brave Star jeans

I'll have to revisit Bravestar in the future. The only things that have put me off from trying them sooner is that giant embroidered star they put on their jeans/jackets and also the back pockets on their jeans look huge compared to other brands.

My thoughts exactly…I just can't get over it. It's the same reason I can't bring myself to buy a pair of PBJ's (the leaf on the back pockets). It boggles my mind why companies do this and it is a huge pet peeve of mine.
-
Oddly enough, the PBJ leaf logo doesn't bother me as much because it's not quite as big as the star. My complaint with PBJ is the cut of their jeans and jackets. Still can't get over how horribly my PBJ type II's fit.
-
Oddly enough for me the red W on the Iron Hearts doesn't bother me at all. As a matter of fact I love it and think it adds to the aesthetic appeal of the jeans.

On the black subzillas 19oz i ordered the star is black ,so doesn't stand out as much .

How long have you had the Sumo 2s Tonbost? I’ve been thinking about getting a pair. I have the 21 oz heavyweights and thoroughly enjoy them, but those Bad boys your rocking are tempting.

I have both black and white in these "super" heavyweight t-shirts headed my way. I was trying to find a wonder looper tee in size Large but they are sold out everywhere I looked besides Spain. I have their heavyweight tees in a few colors and the cut works well for my body type.
For $38 each it's worth a shot. I'll update here with my thoughts when they arrive.https://bravestarselvage.com/collections/t-shirts/products/copy-of-sumo-xh-t-shirt-black

Received the “sumo xh” t-shirts from Brave Star. I’m 5’11” and 190lb and the size large fits me great. They are a boxy cut with little if any taper from the pits down. For under $40 and made in the USA, I haven’t seen anything on offer that would parallel these heavyweight tees.
The size large black weighs 320 grams and is very soft and thick. It’s not near as densely woven as the IH 1600 though. I would compare it to the 13oz tees from Freenote.
I’ll upload pictures of the white when I rotate it in.
In conclusion you really can’t go wrong for $38.

@jordanscollected I will add that I despise a huge neck hole in a t-shirt, it ruins it for me as I'm constantly adjusting the way it sits. his has a small neck hole and sits perfect.

Here’s the White Sumo XH. This one is cut a bit better than the black as it tapers just a touch in the body. Really a great heavyweight tee for a very affordable price.

For those that missed out on the IH denim tote. This Brave Star one could partially fill the hole in your heart.
-
@jordanscollected cool! Thanks for sharing. For the price I’m tempted to check one out. Could be very handy carrying books etc. for my job.
-
@Mizmazzle "for the price" is the key. One downside of loving and buying Iron Heart is that any purchase sub $100 is considered free.
-
@jordanscollected seriously! I see that Brave Star price and I’m like…what’s wrong with this bag?? Haha.

Figured I’d throw my personal experience out there. Purchased some items a few years ago but zero plans of going back. Their sizing chart compared to the garment is like a game of roulette and found their customer service to be a collection of cunts. I will say, if you’re fortunate to get the sizing right, hard to find a better bang for your buck.
For this carryall, appears to be more Bravestar roulette (though props to them for disclosing this): you do not get to choose the denim; the shade, weight, selvedge ID… all a mystery
