IH-555-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo
-
Slightly below 35 in inseam as I want them to end up at around 34 after soaking/washing. I did squeeze below one inch of shrinkage out of my previous XHS pairs so I think it should be fine. It's just a tiny concern a new batch of denim could behave differently. Will report back with measurements.

Standing on the balcony 24 hrs after getting wet. I gave them a hot soak followed by a hot wash cycle for the agitation (no detergent, no spin) and hung to dry. I did this because I am between two sizes and chose the larger.

@neph93 Happy to share! I keep a spreadsheet for all my denim, and the pragmatic approach across the Iron Heart community to document and share is incredibly helpful for finding a good fit.

Helloooo…
I struggled to button them up but that was totally expected and is part of the finger hurting XHS experience :P. They do feel somewhat more substantial than my PIHXHS did and as heavy as my first XHS-pair from 2015 (666-XHS). So far I am very pleased. Will soak and wash them when I have the time and return with measurements…

Unwashed
After a 4 h soak with hottest tap water, no agitation + machine washed @ 40° C with 1200 spin
I could manage to put them back on which I regard nothing less than a miracle. As expected the most shrinkage occured in length and they ended up there where I wanted. The XHS is brutal first but it is so rewarding seeing this fabric becoming supple and silky smooth while beating it into submission. Not to speak of the amazing fades this fabric is developing over time. And yes, the bottom button stays closed for now ;)…
