IHM-31-NAV - Whipcord Pea Coat - Navy
Originally worn by sailors in European and, later, American Navies. Pea coats are characterized by short length, broad lapels, double-breasted fronts, large buttons and slash pockets. This version is constructed from navy whipcord, as an alternative to the traditional Melton wool version, and lined with brown long-pile Alpaca.

I suppose it is untraditional but a pea coat in whipcord makes so much sense to me…

Agreed. I think, too, having alpaca lining would make this coat unbelievably warm. This peacoat is on my priority list behind the 237 western, but, as always, i'm not sure if funds will allow it.
