Thanks. I'm alright. I've really been enjoying my jeans. I already regret washing them though. Hopefully they will look cool with a little fade shifting.

I know the feeling… big regret after having washed my IHJ-24 for the first time after a year's worth of wear... never felt the same since. I'm not against washing denim, but wish I'd waited for as long as possible, your post reminded me of this!

@BULLITT BEE I got a little bit of shift. But I think it will add even more character. The color of this denim is so awesome.

Could you elaborate what you mean by shift? Creases in a slight different location?
I agree, the color is lovely. They're going to look amazing with more evo!

After a wash, a fade shift occurs because of shrinkage and the new creases don't line up with the old ones correctly, or the get wider.

@Filthy Would it make sense to start the fading process after the first soak/ wash in order to avoid that? Good to see you again by the way

I've tried all different things. But I think it depends on what kind of denim you have. But for the 25 oz I really enjoy the way it feels before it sees water. Also it seems to lend itself to some crisp fades. I chose not to soak this pair because they fit great already and the waist was kind of snug. The fade was more of a secondary concern.
If your denim is raw and unsanforized, I would definitely soak a couple of times unless you plan on never ever washing them (which I think is pretty unrealistic).

I'm currently wearing a pair of 634S which I haven't soaked or washed yet but it's definitely interesting to get to know the different experiences. I'm guessing not soaking/ washing in my case should give me the best fading results but since yours were sanforized and unwashed, it makes sense.
Your pair looks great by the way and washing them as you did should make you feel more comfortable in them also both physically and psychologically .

Speaking of which, I have been only hand washing my jeans in cold water. I used a little All laundry soap and Dawn dish detergent this time. I soaked them in the cold soapy water for about an hour agitating every once in a while. And I did 2 rinses to make sure the soap was all out and dried them in front of a box fan.

Thanks so much, makes a lot of sense!

I am kind of surprised. With enough wear the combs seem to have shifted back to where they were.
The color of these jeans is like nothing I've ever seen.

What’s the ETA on the restock of these please?
