Hey guys I just ordered one of these and sent you a note. It looks like the the size chart was updated and the waist increased by .8" on the XL? If so that might be the room I needed…
-
@setandsetting I am afraid this was a glitch during the website change over. I have changed the chart on the product back to what it should be which is the same as the chart at the top of this thread. Sorry about the confusion and Jack is emailing you now to discuss your order. Thank you for spotting this!

Shucks! Thanks Graham and Jack.

Any word on some restocks of the size medium?
-
Slowly wearing it in. LOL.

I love this jacket. Sleeves are way too long but that's the story of my life at 5'8" with a 48" chest.
-
Just an idea, you could dip both your sleeves in hot water, then put the jacket on and set the creases in the elbows. Let dry. This should shorten the overall length of the sleeves.

Looks great with the tan pants and white tee. Just flip the cuffs on the sleeve.
Thanks! I tried cuffing but didn't like the look.

I may try that. I've always been wary of soaking just the sleeves. I don't want to lose indigo and have a difference in shade between the body and sleeves. Maybe the difference is negligible. Maybe I'm overthinking it lol.

The difference is negligible. I think it is a common misconception that water=indigo loss. In is understandable because of the blue residue left in the water after soaking, but that is surface indigo and does not have anything to do with the dyed fabric.
Abrasion=indigo loss. This only happens with movement, agitation and friction. Just letting the arms lie in hot water won’t give you abrasion.
All that being said, the jacket is once washed, so I doubt it will have much effect. Just wear it. The sleeves will ride up at the cuff and elbow and you’ll «lose» an inch there.

I soaked the arms tonight. I also wore it for a few minutes while damp to help set some creases. We'll see how it measures in the morning.

Another idea is finding a skilled tailor and have the sleeves taken in.

Just ordered a Large in this awesome jacket. I currently own a medium and find the shoulder a bit tight and can't really layer at all with it if i want to (just a tshirt fits great, but would most likely want more versatility). So heads up everyone, if the large feels a heck of lot better without the sleeves and length looking silly (I'm only 5'7") then keep your eyes out for a near mint medium coming up for sale!
-
Not exactly a summer jacket but the Large has arrived! Awesome jacket, which now I can comfortably fit over a UHF and don't have to be afraid of getting wet or washing. Big thanks to Adam for helping me get a size that worked better, looks like the medium I e got will be going up for sale -
Thanks, just wish it wasn't gonna hit 90 tomorrow
