Luggage Bags and Packs
-
Cobra buckles used for fasteners on bags is ridiculous. Overbuilt is one thing, there is simply no need for that kind of a fastener for a bag. Complete waste of money and and spec.
Agreed, but damnit if they arent fun to play with. Personally, I like Fidlocks for bag fasteners as they are lighter, quicker, and low key.

Right, agreed. So you pick up an Acronym bag @Anesthetist ? They finally issued larger sizes this drop.

Well I just got my Nomin a little big ago so Darci might just put my junk in a jar if I nab another high end bag. They are cool though.

Small Batch Supply Rolltop Backpack, which was featured on Silodrome.
It looks a tough pieces, and I appreciate the fact that the model is in hickory overalls, but I suspect that it'll weigh an awful lot.

I dig it tho looks to be on backwards.

Anyone see the new SDR Traveller Field Satchel?
https://sdrtraveller.com/collections/luggage/products/field-satchel?variant=12553858646096
Looks a lot like the JDM Gregory satchel that Jan has talked about in the past.I like the size, shape, and that it will weigh almost nothing. I think it fits in well with the SDR line and would be a good travel bag/flight bag.

Wearing my Veilance Nomin at Disney but brought my SDR satchel as well. Working out great for a lighter carry.

Not sure why (maybe because I have a problem) but I started looking around at leather backpacks and stumbled on the Himel Algonquin:

I wish it was a little bigger but I like everything else.
Edit: I guess this Himel could tide me over until I sell a kidney and purchase a Bole

Laminat-L Acronym 3A-1
Front pockets are adjustable and roomy, and have pockets behind them. Interior has several pockets and allows cables to be routed externally (e.g. battery in pack routing charge cable to phone in your pocket or external pocket.
Added a belt key clip marketed to law enforcement to the front of the shoulder strap.
Evo of laminated face fabric:
In other news, got a custom container for my large battery, which has USB-C power delivery so that I can charge anything up to a laptop.
-
Looks good. I've always been a fan of that style of the Acronym messenger.
-
@veloaudio you could always ask Himel if he'd make you an XXL Algonquin. The pattern looks pretty simple, and I doubt that adding an inch or two here and there would be too hard.
If you want something bigger, the Lotuff Duffle Backpack is one of my favourites.

Yeah, I need a Bole too.
-
Good point. I've emailed to ask.

I saw Racing Atelier on Carryology the other day. Their Rucksack #1 is a mixture of natural leather and Dyneema, and looks lovely.
It's €1050, before you go rushing off to order one…
-
The use of Dyneema seems pointless. Unless, of course, the point was to look cool, in which case, well done.
-
Probably also to offset the weight of the leather.
Anyone know Crafted Goods? This looks cool. They also have nice-looking rucksacks in the 25L range.
