Luggage Bags and Packs

@steelworker - this is true
@Anesthetist - I did have a look at those, they are very nice indeed!
@Giles - Giles, Giles, Giles - you know I spent that difference on my last order with IH The King is dead, long live the King.
@Graeme - hahahaha - now that would be totally awesome!!!
So anyway, I'm currently having a chat with Silas from Bedouin about a custom messenger

on the other hand you've freed up a tidy sum …

Just went to Mexico for a week. We took our daughter's pack-and-play, so took a 110L Ortlieb dry duffel for some of her large items, but as for my personal stuff, I was able to fit all of my gear (a week's changes of clothes, laptop, chargers, giant battery, etx) into a 28L Defy Verbockel 2.0 X-Pac (thanks again @Graeme for the suggestion). I was able to lash a bulky iPad+childproof case using the outside handle and Cobra buckle strap that secures the rolltop.
Made for an excellent beach bag while there as well.
I am truly thrilled with the capabilities of that bag. Great, versatile bag for work, travel, cycling, biking, etc.

@mclaincausey I'm glad that you're enjoying the Verkockel.
I've also got one of their Cargo Totes (albeit in Dyneema rather than X-Pac), and that's really good for just throwing a lot of gear in and taking it somewhere.

Just picked up this Bradley Mountain bag at my local Buffalo Exchange yesterday for $30. Wasn't looking for a bag, but it caught my eye and I remembered hearing the name here.

Any recommendations for a duffle bag, weekend size. Should handle being tied on the bike and thrown around. Has anyone the Filson duffle in use?
I had one, they’re plenty tough enough for that. Does it need to be waterproof?

Thanks @Anesthetist waterproof is not necessary, but it should handle a short shower. I have a north face duffle since ages and it’s really tough and durable. I took it in the mountains climbing, on a boat, hundreds of trips but I look for something not so neopreney…

Not sure @Dmart …I strictly stick to Ortlieb bags on my bike for the last ten years. But they are rubbery/plasticky feeling and looking on the outside. They sure are tough and easily handle being tightly strapped down with Rox Straps over the rear of the bike seat.

ok madda faakas…
Well, this is about to start the journey from the Swedish wilderness to Oz.
Here's a sneak preview with my initials on the reindeer plaque. It has been a wonderful experience dealing with Jan at Bole - a true gentleman and we had many conversations on many topics we share an interest in.
Long live the Prince - this will not be shelf queen, but thoroughly used and eventually passed down to my daughter.

That pack looks amazing @Jase68, and I'll be interested to see what you think of it when it arrives.
I wonder if I can convince Jan to change the delivery address to Benalla, rather than Perth.
I forgot about saboteurs But cheers mate, I will review when it arrives, but it will most likely just be a gush-fest where I try to justify my complete madness.

Nothing too crazy but I found this Visvim market bag for 60% off so I couldnt turn it down. The fabric is a really light but tough herringbone, it should be a great carryall.

I recommend https://trucedesigns.com
I have a ~40L Dyneema duffle that I've taken on many trips, even had to check it overseas once and it was fine.
