Luggage Bags and Packs

That pack looks amazing @Jase68, and I'll be interested to see what you think of it when it arrives.
I wonder if I can convince Jan to change the delivery address to Benalla, rather than Perth.
I forgot about saboteurs But cheers mate, I will review when it arrives, but it will most likely just be a gush-fest where I try to justify my complete madness.

Nothing too crazy but I found this Visvim market bag for 60% off so I couldnt turn it down. The fabric is a really light but tough herringbone, it should be a great carryall.

Thanks @Anesthetist waterproof is not necessary, but it should handle a short shower. I have a north face duffle since ages and it’s really tough and durable. I took it in the mountains climbing, on a boat, hundreds of trips but I look for something not so neopreney…
I recommend https://trucedesigns.com
I have a ~40L Dyneema duffle that I've taken on many trips, even had to check it overseas once and it was fine.

Thanks they look good. I will heck out though it seems like they are pretty busy currently.

Looking to pick up a couple new bags. Was initially looking for new luggage suitcases, but I think I may be better off getting some duffels for all kinds of travel.
What say you about the Patagonia Black Hole series? Something similar that is better? Probably will get a 40L and maybe a 70L.

I have Black Holes and like them a lot, but generally use my Ortliebs for any time I have to check luggage….
I was finally able to handle some Ortlieb bags at a bike shop and they feel pretty bomb proof. I love my SDR duffle but I can see getting a set of Ortlieb down the line.

Dont know if I have said this before, but their full life guarantee is great. I bought one from a retailer in Germany, and blew the zip (my fault, I was a little over-optimistic about how much shit I could stuff in it). Despite not having a receipt, the UK importer swapped it for a new one, no questions asked (except what colour I would like )

@Anesthetist where did you get it from?

Tom bihn and red oxx make good technical duffles.

Just picked up the Patagonia Black Hole duffels in both 40L and 70L. Also grabbed one of the 25L tote bags since I always wind up with 972 things I have to bring in when I get home (while also wrangling 2 little ones).
I'm planning on picking up a roof rack and bars for the top of the car to get out and camp more.

We got this 110L Ortlieb to carry all Hattie’s stuff. We have pack n plays everywhere we’re going, so I took that free space with a VX duffel from Triple Aught full of all my clothes for the trip. The Triple Aught duffel is so thin that it makes for a perfect packing organizer in a bag this big, and we’ll have it for day trips and as a beach back and such in addition to my VX Defy Verbocken, which continues to be an amazing bag that I use on every trip. Thanks again for the tenth time Graeme for that suggestion.
It’s duffles all the way down…

Three or four years ago, @Filthy gave me a Samurai denim rucksack that was too small for his needs. It's been a gym bag, travelling, shopping, and even to the office. It's probably been used most days. Thanks Mike!
Unfortunately when I arrived in Heathrow on my way to Gosport, one of the straps failed. The cotton webbing had shredded. It looked like the other one was starting to come loose, so I decided to retire it.
Whilst at the Iron Heart party, I passed it onto @swiss-jeansfreak so that it could have its eternal rest in the Jeans Museum. However, Ruedi is a pretty hardcore mountaineer, and he knows people, so it's possible that it'll be repaired and continue to have a life.
Now I've got to figure out a replacement. I'm going to drag my Defy Verbockel out for the time being, but I've got an eye on a Kasperi Fold Top…
