Coronavirus (Covid-19) Discussion

I'm going through a similar thing to your beer situation. I had some really nasty heartburn about a week ago, had me going to the doctor to make sure it wasn't heart-related (all the news abuzz with potential heart issues with Pfizer/Moderna vaccines didn't help!). They told me that my heart was fine but to lay off of coffee, alcohol, spicy foods, big meals, and meals close to bedtime for the sake of the heartburn.
My wife was diagnosed with GERD and had to do the same. She's now able to get back to coffee (the industry in which she works!) as well as have spicier foods again. I think it was a couple months of reduced intake, but all good now.
Regarding sensitivity to acid and coffee, cold brew is less acidic (and for that reason, often less flavorful IMO). It is a good option for people with GERD or other issues with acidity.

I was thinking the same earlier. I like the Stok cold brew they have in the grocery store. I can chug an entire bottle in about fifteen minutes.

Lmao I'm so sorry @Paul9221

Just in case this stuff works amazing @Paul9221

Did you enjoy the coffee? I hope it was excellent.
-
I'm sure you'll be fine

I totally missed this yesterday, sorry about that!
Thanks for the tip! I occasionally drink these BOSS Japanese cold coffees in cans. They're GREAT! But they're usually too caffeinated for me. When I drink coffee, I tend to make it mostly decaf, because I'm anxious enough already
I guess I could look into making my own decaf cold brew. That's a thought!

Second shot of Moderna last week, bit like being hit by a truck! Energy levels just starting to be back to normal. Not had a drink for two weeks
-
My Moderna experience:
-
shot 1: I didn't think anything had happened until 72 hours later when I finally figured out the… GI symptom that I had was not from something I ate
-
shot 2: I was worthless for 24 hours. Extreme fatigue and sort of a flu-like queasiness
I have a high degree of confidence in and respect for these mRNA vaccines. Pretty fucking stupid that we have this windfall of protection in the USA that so many are not taking advantage of. We have some really self- (and else-) destructive nutjobs here.

It's funny you mention the GI stuff, I had the same thing! I also figured it was related to me breaking the diet during vaccine recovery!
I understand people being nervous about the vaccines. I was too. Heck, every time I hear about some new rare side effect, I start to freak out! I just trust that God's gonna do what He's gonna do and it's for the best.
