Brian the Bootmaker can make basically anything you want
Not always the case… I asked him for a pair of boots he had made before, with a very “seemingly simply” upgrade and he said he was not able to do it...
I know he had made western boots however - I believe he made a pair of Snakeskin for a client. I seem to remember them being snip toe though, not sure if you want a Cuban toe, or snip.

The wife and I are looking to take our Anniversary trip somewhere new in Early June of this year.
We are trying to find somewhere we have not been, has a lot of activities, and is not ridiculously expensive to spend 3-4 days at.
We live at the beach, so beach destinations are out.
My top choices:
Portland
Los Angeles
Charleston, SC
Taos, New MexicoI have been to Charleston and Taos, but the wife has not.
Thinking activities such as:
Kayaking, Hiking, maybe an Amusement Park (we don’t have them in Alabama - big surprise I know lol)
Dining, shopping, museums, etc.Where do you guys like to travel to with your significant other?
Thanks!

@Appfaff My wife and I went to Alaska (the Anchorage area) last fall and it was one of the best trips I've ever been on.
I don't know what your budget is, but I'm sure Alaska has activities that would fit pretty much anything.
Some of the things we did that we loved there:
Lots of hiking
Took a helicopter trip and walked a glacier
Took a scenic train tour to another city (Seward)
Ate a ton of great food -
Thanks @Jett129 and @DStauffer - both good recommendations

If you have the time and inclination, go to SE Asia. I had a blast in Hanoi.
If you want the US, try the Grand Canyon because I found that pretty interesting yet ridiculously hot and I can deal with the heat. -
On your top 4 list, I would recommend Portland. Lots to do and eat. As far as that goes, there's lots of great places in Oregon. LA is nice but you would spend half your time sitting in traffic. My favorite city in the states is San Diego. Just my 1 cent worth.

Anyone know of a high-end boot maker (other than Wesco, Viberg, Clinch) that would make an Engineer Boot with a western toe?
oh fuck yeah! and in shark or elephant. for a friend.

+1 for Alaska. Colorado and New mexico are great too but be mindful of altitude changes and time to adjust.

Another great spot not on your list is Asheville, NC. you could spend a day going through Biltmore and surrounding are, make sure you have a meal in the Grove Park Inn. Then downtown has lots of shops and great eating and drinking spots. @Appfaff
