. I love the Freenote Henley shirts, under a UHF,or a denim shirt. Really comfortable. Different layers on top depending on the temperature. One other thing, from years of riding a motorcycle during the Winter,I still adhere to the mantra of wearing one more layer than you think you’ll need. Wife thinks I’m nuts.

Is there a proper way to cut off chainstitch runoff? Is anything going to unravel if I just lop if off?
-
Western shirts don't have the runoff

Just cut them off right where they start. I can’t stand them and cut them off of every shirt and have never had any issues. Western and work shirt, Iron Heart and other brands, it’s always a chop.

Yup wearing my 295bb now and have parts of mine still attached. I like 'em! But some folks think it's a loose thread and have even pulled at mine before. No touchy!

The first time I wore a shirt with the runoff still attached around my mom she said “YOUR BRAND NEW EXPENSIVE SHIRT ALREADY HAS A LOOSE THREAD!”

I used to let things like lack of runoffs or selvedge color my interest in and appreciation for garments. Silly me, in hindsight. I still keep them when they're there and knot them to keep them from fraying, but it no longer has any influence on purchasing decisions.
I do trim the sleeve lockstitch runoff from IH thermals though, shit is annoying (not saying stop since it's an easy snip snip)

Anybody ever order from The Real McCoy's Japaneses shop? https://www.realmccoys-nagoya.co.jp
Seems pretty straightforward using Paypal to pay… But it's not totally clear if they actually ship to the US.

@setandsetting, they will not, unfortunately. Try Lost & Found or Standard & Strange. Both can special order from their site.

Also, if based in Europe or London. Real MCoys London will do the same.

Sorry just saw you said US!
I bought some RMC stuff from Standard and Strange in NYC earlier in the year and their customer service was awesome.
