Used some more of the 18oz fabric @Filthy gave me to patch the one heel-dragged-to-death cuff of mine, and was able to line up the selvedge ID line and match the thickness of the cuff just for shits & giggles. Still have to do the other cuff. Didn’t attach the very bottom of the hem to the new hem, because I kinda like the way the new hem is peaking out from the old one.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fixed the other heel. On Friday someone noted how much I had patched these & said “You must really like those jeans to keep repairing them!”, of course I do!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wore these for the Indigo Invitational, not to try and win or prematurely wear jeans just to win, but moreso to keep motivation on wearing a pair of jeans instead of rotating. So here it is, a year of wear:
I need to patch the right knee but haven't had the time yet. I have repaired with patches both rear hems, 3 patches on the left knee, a patch on the right lower thigh, patch on the upper right crotch area due to a whisker starting to blow out, a left pocket bag reinforcement due to a rip, a top buttonhole reinforcement, two patches on the butt of the pants where my bony ass wore through, and reattached the top part of the rear right pocket. I didn't really keep track of washes or soaks, but its probably about 10, and really I washed them when they were saturated with sawdust, oil, or metal shavings. They aren't high in contrast due to the washing regimen, but also just the fact that this denim holds onto the dye better than other jeans I have. All my other jeans have definable whiskers and I wash those about as frequently as these. Once these get retired, I figure I will try out washing less frequently for the first few months.

Really well done for 21oz OD!! I think those are the hardest to fade out of the IH catalogue. You gave these a proper thrashing Seth!
Thank you! Just glad they held up for an entire year, don’t think another brand could’ve.

Ran out of white thread so I couldn’t finish the crosses, but I did a patterned piece of denim this time.

Looks great. They keep getting better. Do you have a long term plan?

Not really, current plan is to wear something blue now [emoji846] and just keep wearing these, and maybe if IHUK wants them, get that discount…

Mine are around the same level of fade as yours and I am pretty excited about it. Your pair looks great!
